This is my 4th week on SW and so far I've been really disappointed. I had m weigh in last night and I just wonder if anyone has any words of wisdom as I am really close to giving up!
I lost 4 stone with Lighterlife 3 years ago, getting to my target of 10 stone. Then I got pregnant, got pre-eclampsia and ended up in October last year at 17.5 stone again (after he was born 2 months early). I did two 4 week "blasts" on Lighterlife (restart)and lost 21 lbs and then about 15lbs so I was down to 12stone 8 in August but then I got pregnant again which turned out to be ectopic and had to have emergency surgery and lost my fallopian tubes (both as it was twins which had lodged in both sides) and one ovary - not sure if this is hormonally affecting my weight. COnsequently with the recovery and stress and emotion (in addition to finding out my now 1 year old has a severe form of dwarfism) I managed to regain and got to 14stone 2.
I decided that LL is not working for me any more in terms of the psychology and so I joind SW with the hope of "doing it the slow but healthy way". I also started with a Personal Trainer last week so have been exercising every other day for 20 minutes (all new to me!!! - normally sedentary!). I am really trying to make this the start of a new healthy life now I have two kids and won't be having any more.
I stick to plan every day. THere was only one day where I went over 10 syns (christmas meal with work) and I have made up for it since by reducing to 5 syns. I lost 7lbs the first week (13st9) then 2lbs the second (13st7) then stayed the same the third. Now this week I have gained 2lbs and backup to 13st9. I just don't get it when my meal plan is basically the same every day (I do green days and one day a week on red). I am eating VERY healthily (I think), having my HEXs, my 5-10syns, measuring out etc. The only thing I did wrong was in the 3rd week I ate fresh pasta a few times which I hadn't realised was not free, but that was 10 days ago now. I do eat A LOT of pasta, but on a typical day my diet is:
Breakfast: Banana, nectarine, Alpen Light bar (half a HEX) and Muller Light
Snack: Ryvita Minis (HEX)
Lunch: Plain rice or SW Chips with quorn sausages. Other Alpen Light.
Snack: Muller light, satsuma and kiwi/grapes
Dinner: Spaghetti or pasta with Quorn bolognaise (or fat free fromage frais and pesto) with Low fat cheddar on top.
Throughout the day I also have my milk (measured in a jug) in coffee/tea and if any is left an options...
The syns are either the pesto, a slice of nimble wholemeal with flora or sometimes a biscuit at work.
I cook only with Frylight.
It was also my star week this week... (for 2 days)...
Any advice will be gratefully received (be as harsh as you want!!). I am determined to stick to this and lose it steadily, but not losing at all (or gaining!!!) is really not what I want!! Bizarrely I feel healthier and maybe even a bit thinner...my partner says he thinks I look like I am losing weight...
