NSVs - Non Scale Victories

Rode to the shop last night and a bunch of teenage girls were making fun of my sunglasses.. not my weight!!! Result!! :)

"one size" lace hold ups fitted last night ;)

My sister saw me today, the first time sice I started SW. She was gobsmacked! Previously, we fell out for 18 months over how 'disgusting' I was because I refused to try and get to a size 10 for her wedding in 5 months (she wanted me to stop eating altogher) and live on 3 250 calorie shakes a day (not designed for slimming but the type that suppliment old peoples diets). She phoned me after leaving and said '****, I need to go on a diet because your'll be the skinny sister soon'. Ha made my day and possibly my life!

Go you!! You should be so proud of yourself especially as you're doing it the healthy way and not starving yourself and having shakes designed for OAP's!! Lol

Yeah, she has now asked me my secret.... I have pointed her, my mum and my dad all in the direction of slimmingworld! We will soon all be a super slim family!

I had to buy a couple of new tops for work so popped to matalan yesterday. I was chuffed to be picking up size 18s to try on. And absolutely thrilled that they were too big! I bought 2 tops in a 16 and tried on a lovely dress also in a size 16 which fitted and actually made me look pretty darn hot(even if I do say so myself). I will go back and buy that sexy dress when I finally get round to selling some of my old size 26 stuff on eBay and have some money!

Wow supergirl1980.. That is a fab achievement... 26 to a 16. Well done and get those old clothes on eBay soon so you can treat yourself

2 weeks in and already people are saying i look like im glowing. i can only presume this is due to the fact i am no longer spotty due to the amount of fruit and veg :D

My sister told me that my 40 inch waist trousers that I have only recently been able to climb into are a bit baggy...

I realised last night that for the last 4 weeks (since the day after i joined SW) i haven't needed any of my indigestion/heartburn tabs :) used to have at least 6 during the day and have trouble sleeping, but it's all gone (i have acid reflux, still need main meds but dr says thats forever but don't need any of the additional ones now!)
So nice to go to bed and not feel like my chest is on fire!
Also the size 16's i bought last week are starting to be a little loose :D *cheshire cat* :D

I went the gym this morning, and i have now decided to go every sat morning as i don't do / go anywhere first thing sat morning anyway.

So, once a month i always do a 'long run' (started on Jan 2012) on the cross-trainer, i decided that i would do it today. The first time i managed 2.5 Km and every month i try and beat that by an extra 2.5Km.. 2.5Km then 5Km and so on. So septembers 'long run' should have been 22.5Km but i ran this distance by july, but have never been able to go further.. but today, i smashed it :D . it felt great and i decided to just keep running.

When i felt i was too tired to carry on i pushed myself a little bit further (just to round the distance up) .. So after nearly 3 hours running on a cross-trainer and burning under 1,900 calories. i ran 32.5Km

I am now knackered, my legs are burning and jellyfied :p but i have a huge grin on my face.Soon i will have ran a marathon on a cross-trainer, it might not count as a real marathon.. but to me it will :D
