arghhhhhhhhh i cant believe what i just did !! im making curry and rice for my hubbys tea and i tasted some rice to see if it was cooked !!!! omg ! i spat it out as soon as i realised but probably swalloed a few grains !! will that take me out of ketosis ??? oh no all that hard work down the drain !!! :confused:

Whoa there, a few grains of rice are not going to undo all your hard work! And if it really was just a few gains then chances are it'll have no effect on your Ketosis whatsoever :)

You'd have to eat a fair amount (ie an entire dinner) to fully get you out of Ketosis, and even then 1 dinner is not going to make you put back on what you have lost so far, and even IF you did eat an entire dinner, so long as you went straight back on the packs you'd get back into Ketosis very quickly.

So don't panic! But it does go to show how sometimes we are not even aware of what we are doing around food eh? It's times/situations like that that we have to learn to be extra careful instead of not thinking about it as we would have in the past!

Don't worry. It won't kill you and it won't take you out of ketosis.
Just put it behind you and be sure you don't do it again.
You'll be fine.

if it is what you say then it won't make any difference whatsoever! I used to make the same mistake when I was cooking. A very hard habit to get out of. Although any good chef tastes what they are cooking before serving it. Just don't eat half of it before you serve it is the lesson I've learned.

phew thanks guys i was so angry with myself !! it really was a few grains , i know wot u mean about habits with cooking so many times have i got some bean juice or the like on my finger and automatically gone to put it in my mouth then realised and stopped myself !
i am so happy i havent ruined my hard work ! phew !!!
