Oh the embarrassment!

A friend told me that another friend has been sacked. I run into friend number 2 out shopping and naturally say how sorry I am to hear that she's lost her job. She didn't know what I was talking about , they hadn't told her yet!!!! I didn't know what to say. They told her later this afternoon. Was so embarrassed but companies really shouldn't handle it so carelessly.
