We were all given middle names except my youngest sister...she told me she's always felt that. Personally I don't think it makes a jot of difference, most people don't use them anyway.

Had the most horrendous night re disturbed sleep last night...poor Joseph. Glad we had the extra hour this morning.

Scales are rewarding me this morning...down 2.1/2lbs (bloat) - 10.4 3/4lb...a bit more presentable!

Breakfast: Options (2) chopped fruit & Alpro yogurt (HexA) 6 walnuts (HexB)

I think he's just going through one of his bad sleeping modes. We went to bed about 11.30 last night, me in the other bedroom. He came in at 3.30 saying he hadn't been to sleep and his heart was 'squeezing' and he was ringing 999. I persuaded him that his heart was fine, he was just very tired and stressed. Made him a hot water bottle and climbed in beside him to give him some reassurance. We both slept until about 6am when he got up for the loo...I was awake by then so left him to sleep some more and me in the other bed. Next thing I knew it was 10.30. He's pretty sluggish today though...think we'll be going to the surgery walk in clinic tomorrow morning. The doctor has given him 2mg Diazepam for help him relax at night but he doesn't really want to take it so mostly takes a whole concoction of health supps to try and get to sleep...which obviously don't work.

I did a search but couldn't find this one so did a calc. Seemed to be 7 syns, I used Flora Light instead of butter and altered the syn value.
Snack: Options (2) small choc (7)
Supper: minis (HexB) apple & grapes

Total syns: 15

I can't even have a ticking clock in the room or watch so I know how he feels tick tock drives me nuts as does water dripping alarms etc.
I need total silence as much as is possible.
 
Joseph's just had a phone call from his younger sister...IMO she suffers from either delusional paranoia or schizophrenia...about the same really. Evidently she's been phoning the police about her neighbours etc (she lives in a block of flats.) She's had a woman doctor at her door!! (mental health looking to section her?) She told her it wasn't convenient but I know she'll be back again...
I have a feeling sleep will not come easy again tonight.
 
Thanks. I heard the phone ringing at 3.28 this morning...not that I shifted out my warm bed but seems it was Joseph's sister and her mobile phone somehow rang our number.
Thankfully Joseph slept deep & good last night. He only took the diazepam.
Nice sunny day here, grandsons are on half term so no school run for me.

Scales down 1/4lb - 10.4 1/2lb.
 
No I don't entertain my grandsons because my daughter works term time only so she's off too. I know they have an inset day next Monday but their nanny with have them then...I hope! I'm not keen on their rudeness and tempers when they can't have their own way. I know it's probably a twins thing but at 9yrs old...I'm expecting more. I don't have them here either because they jump on the furniture etc...at their own home they have leather furniture and seem to do as they please. I sound like a right moaner...just don't understand parenting of today maybe.

Don't overdo things at the gym today.
 
I know exactly what you mean about patenting today.

I don't have kids and if I did I would be a terrible mean strict mother who wouldn't buy them anything or let them get away with anything !

Kids of today seem to have so much STUFF and just seem to be indulged so so much.
But I'm not a mother so what do I know ?
 
I agree they have far too much. I think the working parents often substitute their time with technology gifts! I give them a bag of hula hoops to eat in the car on the way home...chocolate makes sooo much mess! One has a drink of juice, the other turns his nose up so he gets naught! I give £20 at Christmas & birthday which is very small fry compared to what others give but that's a lot for me to find especially as they're both on the same day in August. September there is my son, grandson & daughter = £60. I don't know why so much is measured by money these days...most of us had to be content with very little when we were growing up. My two did as well.
 
You are so so right. My father was more out of work then in work and he had his first heart attack at 48 and never worked again. I was 16 my sister 14.
My poor mother had 3 part time jobs at one stage

I had never been abroad till I was 17 on a french exchange trip and I got funding for that.

I don't know how my parents coped but we always had the necessary school books and essentials.

Not a lot of money but a h e ll of a lot of love.

Even now I buy most of my clothes from Primark Tesco or Asda and I don't like spending a lot on myself but I won't think twice buying stuff for my husband. I will very rarely buy something expensive like I need to replace my kindle but I am saving up for that and I do like my holidays away
I only treated myself to shoes from Marks using my birthday vouchers
