Old Atkins vs New Atkins

I did Atkins many years ago where you didn't really have to weigh out your proteins now I think you do??

I don't want this to be a DIET where I am weighing measuring counting stressing!!

I want this to be a way of life, however I also want to succeed but I don't want to get SOOO rigid I fall off the wagon.

Day 1 for me and I was going to have tinned salmon for lunch, John West pink salmon 213g, do I eat half the tin only? What if I am hungry and eat the whole tin, is that "allowed?"

sigh..........

See this is what I REALLY want to avoid.......:break_diet:

Take a look at the two stickies - so your thinking of starting and 72 rules. In both cases you dont have to weigh your meat etc - you can eat as much as you like. That's one of the reasons i really like atkins - eat when you are hungry is a fab rule:). Only once i moved onto adding more complicated (ie carby!) food did i need to start counting - and then only the carby stuff!

Enjoy:)

Thanks Katie, I feel so relieved!!

I really can't be doing with all that counting stuff ever again!!

It's Day 1 officially but I haven't had potatoes, rice or pasta for a few days or more and no bread since Wednesday and when I got dressed just now my pants feel a little looser round the waistband than they did last week!!
