Omelettes.... a low fat/calorie recipe

    You guys may already know this, but I thought I'd share! I love omelettes, but thought I'd need to give them up, it seems not! The following recipe is 190 calories, contains 31f of protein, 1.3g of carbs and 6.7g of fat. I don't count total fat throughout the day, I just limit each meal to 7-8g where possible.

    4 egg whites
    1 egg yolk
    4 slices of bernard matthews turkey ham
    Grated light choices (Tesco) mature cheese
    Splash of skimmed milk

    Obviously make it up like a normal omelette. The one yolk contains almost as many calories and as much fat as the 4 egg whites combined! The egg whites make it fluffier too I found.

    Just thought I'd share!

    I LOVE omelettes- for my favourite I use 2 whole eggs, a little water, no milk and loads of mushrooms with black pepper & a little chili flakes. I saute the mushrooms in a little water and use no oil! The mushroom 'juices' and a good pan help stop it sticking.
