One third superfree even with snacks??

Hi.
I would be grateful for clarification on this! I joined SW this week having followed it for a year at home.
I understand the one third superfree with meals.

However,my consultant says you have to have one third superfree with EVERYTHING you eat.

As in if you have a bag of crisps,you must also have some fruit or veg etc.etc.

Am trying to do it but finding it hard!
I know consultants vary but what do people think?

In the past I just applied this rule to meals.

my consultant said that the 1/3 superfree should be with all meals, and snacks you should try and reach for superfree first but if you are having free food snacks try and make it 1/3 superfree. if you are havin something with a syn value then you can have it without the third and count the syns. So as i understand it, to count food as free you should be havin 1/3 superfree alongside it.

that's how i understood it and what i have been doing and it is working so far :)
