only 6 days in and already messed up

Hi,

I'm new on here - although i have been reading you guys posts and tips all week but my lap top would not show the image verification thing so i could not register.

So anyway, the first 3 days went well - no temptation, but 4th was tough - was confronted with my DH making himself b***n - but i managed the day 100%.

I've been drinking loads of fizzy water and mostly not feel hungry after my packs at all.

But I was out last night - good and bad - good was that i did not drink any alcohol - just stuck to water, but bad was i ended up having st**k and c**ps .... i had ordered the st**k with just a salad but they got the order wrong and my willpower crumbled when they gave me the f**d... am gutted.

Then to make it worse i ended up eating sweets today as well - about a handful of pick and mix.

I have a headache and am now miserable with myself!

Im wondering how much damage I have done? Ill be out of Ketosis now wont I?

Sorry for the moaning essay!!!! :cry:

I think everyone puts far too much store by being in ketosis. Just look on it as a bonus. This isnt Atkins where you have to be in ketosis to lose weight (due to the high levels of fat you can eat) even without ketosis you will lose weight with Exante, if you stay within calories that is.

At least you made it to day 6 lol, today is day 4 for me, and we went out for an indian meal this evening. But hey, we have lives too, and ill get straight back on the exante in the morning.

Just dont sweat it too much, tomorrow is another day and you can set yourself on the straight and narrow then. If we were perfect we wouldnt be overweight to start with lol. Its life. Just move on and start over in the morning.

Thank you for your replies - I have done ok today - just ate some sweets though, so to avoid any more of this temptation I divided them all up between my kids - no more pick and mix in the house!!

Other than that, Ive been on plan so hopefully will stay on it for the rest of the week without blips - its my weigh in tomorrow..........

Ketosis certainly makes this all a bit easier but its not the be all and end all of this kind of diet. Youll probably find it harder until youre back in ketosis but it neednt affect you sticking to the plan or having a loss. I was out of ketosis most of the week, due to a planned day off the diet but still had a loss :)

Just keep away from chips and sweets ;)

Lack of will power is what has lead me to this Starlight... if chips and sweets are around, I just eat them.... i am honestly thinking I may never be able to "normal" around food.............

I feel the same too atm, I had a blip earlier for no reason what-so-ever so it's got me wondering can I ever be normal around food :( I'm sure we can... here's to a 100% week! xx

keep on going Shos,,, that's what I tell myself everyday - on day 21 mostly doing TFR, have had two small cheats (one of which involved wine - food was ok - salad and chicken),,, have lost 16lbs,,,, am desperately trying not to cheat again as I know the weight loss will be quicker that way, but I have friend coming round next week and do have what I call a "controlled" cheat planned again food not a prob, but the wine will be!!! I let myself do it as long as I am back on track immediately the next day....

I know how you feel i started exante last thursday and got to day 2 then had to stop (personal reasons ) but today is my offical day1 and im already feeling the hunger :( . Keep your chin up and start again !

Straight spirits JoanneM?! Christ!!! I'll get wasted on one!

I am doing better today - but still caved whilst cooking the kids chicken dippers (I'm avoiding food shopping so it was freezer dinner tonight for them!) I only had 2 though other than that I have stuck to it and not been too hungry actually.

Well weight loss in first week was good too - 10lbs! But the test will be next weekend - I dont think i will even attempt to diet tbh! Im away with my girl friends and i know it will a wine, chips and dips fest... hopefully wont but on the 10lb i lost!!

If youre planning a day off plan it, take it off, but dont use it as an excuse to go mad, get back on the next day :)

I had a day off last weekend. I had it planned to be off but also had it planned to only be the one day. I had canapes, champagne, wine, gin, more champagne, a malt whiskey, 4 course meal, coffee and petit fours - enjoyed every single moment of it. Woke up next morning, back on the shakes. Took 4 days to get back into ketosis but still had a loss.

HAve a great weekend off but be strict with yourself and only have the weekend off :)

I mix my spirits with soda water. Took a bit of getting used to but I actually really enjoy it now. I was out a few weeks ago and had to have diet coke and found it absloutely vile.

Tough isn't it? I am sure we all mess up now and again, but dont give up - we're all in this together and I am sure someone will be there if you yelp for help on here xxx
