Maybe I'm getting old but I just had to email ITV.. did anyone else watch X-Factor results? Well I did with my 12 year old son.. and then the adverts come on.. oh and we have a trailer for a movie called...

Zack and Miri Make a Porno..

Nice!!!

Very family viewing

Luckily I didnt get the question I expected..

Is it not on after the watershed or whatever that time is called when they can show stuff they are not allowed show during the day???

I am pretty broad minded.. you know my boy watches flipping Kerrang.. but me just thinks it was bad timing on ITVs part cos I know others will be watching with much younger kids.. cos its saturday night .

Arrrgghh Im getting old!

well my wee girl likes the xfactor but she was well in bed by the time of the results (nearly 4) but they were on very late tonight should have been earlier

Must be me then :(

nope emski, i agree with you, its a bloody shock to see that type of ad in the middle of an programme obviously aimed at all age groups.

is it just me, but since when did Xfactor take up over 3hrs of TV on a Saturday night, boys oh boys do they drag it out, and tonight i think they got rid of the wrong act, that older guy ain't never gonna be a Robbie Williams, the young fella has so much more potential, its terrible to see him being knocked out

Can ya tell i only glance at it lightly, I don't know many of there names :p

Im with you emski I was watching it with my 9 year old daughter but when that advert was on luckly she was being a typical girl and being a chatter box and missed it. But water shed or not they know x-factor is a family show and kids will be watching it so they should select adverts with care at least till its finished.

But I can guarantee if you do get a reply from them they will say it was past watershed and that x-factor repeats on ITV2 on a Sunday with more reasonable adverts for the time of day. In other words all the xmas toy adverts.

I agree totally Emski.

It was after the watershed but they should have shown a bit of discretion, knowing that it was likely that children would be watching a programme like that on a Saturday night.

Lily, I also agree that they got rid of the wrong act. Scott definately sang better in the sing off - the judges were just ruled by their hearts and the emotional value of Daniel singing to his wife.

Don't watch X-factor...I always get fed up with the voting off...cause i think the judges pick the act of the judge they don't like often....eg Louis will always vote for Simons act
But I am quite broadminded, but I do think that although it is on late(so not to clash with the much better prog on other side!!!)the broadcaster should realise that parents allow their chilren to stay up late to watch it and should not show inappropriate ads!(BTW>When is this prog on!!!!)

Didn't watch it last night, but they know it is a family show and that if it is on later parents will let their kids stay up to watch it , being a sat night and all. Good on you for complaining .

I totally agree Emski it was inappropriate, I saw the advert but as I was watching it alone I didn't think anything of it....... be interested to see ITVs response, but I imagine it will be along the lines of what Son said xx

yer online is an absolute mine field! My OH is going to my TAs house tonight to sort ther computer out as porn attachments have filtered through the anti virus (even with parental controls on) x
