They taste chemically and icky if long past the use-by date. Trust, I have a carrier bag full to chuck out because for 4 days in a row I tried them and 3 out of those 4 got thrown down the sink!

About 9 months out of date - gross I know, but I figured I'd be economical with packs I had left from last time. Plus I honestly thought it'd be fine since it's all powdered stuff but I could tell just from the smell that they weren't right and they tasted wrong :/

Make one up and try it? If it's too far gone you'll know. And nothing untoward happened to me after having almost half of a yucky one except that I went to bed hungrier than usual
