Hi there, I wouldn't like to give advice in case i'm wrong but it sounds similar to my sports injury. I was told by GP I had an inflamed ligament. He gave anti-inflammatorys and told me to rest it in an elevated manner (i.e. if you're lying on sofa, stick the sore leg up on the arm of sofa) and use ice packs which can help swelling and pain, and compression (i.e. leg compression sleeves). You could try ibuprofen gel for a few days because i'm prone to leg injuries and they can help. But if its sore for more than 3-4 days, I would book in to see the doc- just incase!
