Panic attacks

I suffer (ed) from panic attacks (last full one was 10 years ago, passed out and hospitalised) if I have to do something that I either have not done before or going somewhere I have never been before without someone with me.

I have booked and got tickets to fly to Ireland this weekend, I am going with my husband so will be escorted all the way. But I have started to feel anxious already.

I have traveled to France both on the rail and ferry and had no problems, driven around France with no problems ( I don't speak good french but survived a car break down ) but for unknown reasons I have started to panic now. Feel sick, thinking I'm going to pass out.

I will be taking my music with me to keep my mind ocupied and some reading material.

Was thinking I may go to the doctors and get some seditive medication to see if that helps.

Any other tricks people know off that could help, tried calms rescue remody but that does'nt work.

Have you tried abdominal breathing
Postive affarmations
reading a book or something to distract your mind from thinking about the anxious situation
