Omg can u give me the recipe fir the cake? Looks Devine x

yes sweetie

SPICY APPLE CAKE
serves 8
5 syns per serving on all plans

3 eating apples
2tbsp lemon juice
finely zested rind of 1 lemon
3 large eggs separated
2 oz/57g caster sugar
4 oz/ 113g self raising flour
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 level tbsp reduced sugar apricot jam

1)preheat oven to 180c/350f/ gas4
grease and line a 7in cake tin (i used round)

2)halve the apples core and slice thinly. place in a bowl along with the lemon juice and rind and toss together.

3) whisk the egg whites until stiff, add sugar and egg yolks and whisk until thick and creamy.sieve in the flour and cinnamon and gently fold in using a large metal spoon, take care to retain as much air as poss.

4) spoon half mixture into the tin, and gently press half the apple into the mix. add remaining mixture and then top with remaining apple.

5) bake for 45-50 mins (i did mine for 40 and that was enough). until brown, risen and firm. - or test with a skewer or knife.
allow to cool, lift out of tin on greaseproof and brush top with the jam (i forgot this bit ! )

Saturday 20th aug
Green day. Got up early to drop kids at their dads. Popped into large sainsburys near there for these much raved about coconut mullers. Found them hooray and was desperate to try one. Bought 4 as on offer -4 for £2. then bought 3 trays of mullers £1.64 each.
Also got low low cheese spread for £1 onoffer. And a chicken, large lean mince pack and 2 salmon fillets 0ffer (3 for £10). Bought some harissa paste cos I want to try it, seen lots recipes with it.
Bought the sainsburys magazine and it has some good sw adaptable recipes , so I'm going to be busy .
I left there , got home had a coconut muller for breakfast and I have to say I love love loved it. Plan to hide the other 3 from the hounds that are my family.
Lunch was a cheese and tomato sandwich (1heb) with a slice of melon.
Despite the pouring rain when OH got up we ventured into Epsom town and renewed our phone contract. Took his kids to mcdonalds where I sat and drooled over the picture of the new burger- bacon cheese and onion. I treated myself to a cappuchino (hexa) and watched them devour a mountain of burgers nuggets fries and fruit pies. Home again and got ready for a night out with friends for a meal. She was doing sw so I figured we'd be ok, I'd left options open with the cheese sandwich earlier so still had room to plan.

I had a glAss of wine (4) diet lemonade layer on. The starter was filo pastry pockets with shrimp and crab say 3 syns each at a guess. We had 3 each. (9). Chicken Thai green curry with rice and I had 4 mini Thai crackers ( guessing here at 2) pudding was eton mess and so meringue (2) ice cream (4) strawberries free. Black coffee to round it all off.
Decided to count the chicken crab and shrimp as a hexb as I had a small amount and the rice had put me on a green day. So I'm saying around 20 syns but maybe a few more as I don't know what was in the curry and if coconut milk that would add another 2 ish. Do let's say 25-30 to be sure. Fab night and sensible with portions etc. So although this breaks my 6 days of being on plan 100% . in a way it doesn't because I could have had larger amounts, more alcohol, cheese and biscuits and cookies with coffee plus given in to mcdonalds earlier with the attitude that I was having a whole day off. So I'm giving myself a huge yeehah for yesterday.
