Per portion query

Hi all,

I have searched and can't find anything on here.
I am going for an indian tomorrow and all the syns are per portion, so as a general takeaway query, is per portion what they bring out to you when you order one? Or in the example of the indian is it half because they assume you would share it? I know there is a weight underneath, but you can't really weigh when you are eating out so I don't have a clue.
Also when they bring it out it has a lot of sauce in which we usually leave. Does this affect the syn value or does using the sauce actually put it up.

I believe the per serving is for one person.

Like you I don't eat the sauce but to keep things simple I count the syns regardless.
