Picnic

    Im planning on having a picnic tomorrow but im not sure what food to get. I only have red days and im having to pop into the supermarket to buy the food so i can pre-cook anything!! Any ideas??

    i dont do red days so wont be much help but off the top of my head boiled eggs or mix with extra light mayo and onion and use bread as heb to make a sarnie or tuna, packs of chicken, ham, yogurt, fruit salad

    I really need stuff i can buy straight from the shop. Im away from home tonight so i cant pre-make anything!! its so hard :(

    Can you buy some ready cooked low fat chicken? Ready made salads, prepacked and prepared fruits, packets of meat, ham etc I think morrisons do precooked eggs, pickles etc etc

    Oh thats good im doing the shop in morrisons! cheers think i'll just get a load of the chicken and a plain salad.

    Ryvita
    cottage cheese (you just need to pack a picnic knife to spread it on the ryvita!)
    Ham (to top the cottage cheese)
    Yogurts
    Celery sticks and mini pots of low fat houmous (HXB on green or Syns)

    I tend to cook a load of meat ie chicken, take that along with some boiled eggs, salad, fruit & some babybel lights.

    Not much use now as your probably having your picnic by now, lol

    Ha - well enjoy!

    You could always fill a Asda Wholemeal Pitta bread to using it as your HEb choice. Oh & theres a syn free coleslaw recipe on here somewhere, I keep meaning to make that one!
