hmm well i had tons from Jacob lol but when he was newborn we changed him atleast twice a day from been sick or something! an we only washed stuff every few days as had nowhere for everything to dry. Sorry not much use lol x

i used to wash in liquid if bottles been left to sit, then rinse bubbles off... the pop in sterilizer, sterilize. leave. as id open and take them out and burn myself :/ lol but used them afterwards x
No I've to use it a cold water one coz it doesn't fit in the microwave.. So they're sitting in milton (well.. Not milton, but milton tabs are in the water they're steeping in...

Wrong Sarah I know lol but I asked about Milton a while back too and as far as I recall was told not to rinse afterwards unless it's with boiled water but you don't have to rinse if you don't want to as Milton is safe for baby. Also I don't think you need to rinse!

Jess, I burn myself on the steriliser every day lol! Glad it's not just me ;) xxx

Any Sarah will do... LOL

So I can just take them out n use them as they are?? Do I need to leave them to dry or anything?
Sorry.. I know these are prob really daft questions.. But don't want to upset her little tummy

Frances, I wash bottles in hot soapy water to get the milk off then run them under hot tap to get bubbles off. Once they've been in the steriliser I don't rinse or dry them, I just shake the excess water off then make the bottle up. And I only take them out of the water as I need one to make it up otherwise they stay in it until I need them.

Jess, the TT machine is fab!! So quick and saves guesswork when heating bottles, they're the perfect temperature every time, although obviously I do still test them to make sure before I give them to Cole. I paid £65 in the Asda baby event for mine but would have paid the full £100. They often have them on sale on Amazon too. I swear by mine, it's probably the best baby item I've bought!!

Thank you :)

And one more question... for now... lol
When I've used a bottle.. can I wash, rinse and add to the steriliser??? As in... in with stuff that has been sterilised.. or will that contaminate the other bottles n bits?

I always replace a bottle as I take one out. I just make sure I don't take one out for 30 mins after I put it in, just in case it's the new one I take out. We always change the water last thing before bed so we don't forget too x

Cole has 5oz now and it takes ages with hot water in a jug. Plus I used to forget about it while I did his nappy then have to cool it back down. I do think they're worth the money, or it was for us at least. Xx

While we're talking bottles, what do all you FF mummies do if you're going out for the day?

I got quite a few vests and sleep suits as explosive nappies and spat up milk feature a lot these days and I can change him 2-3 times a day. More the milk than the nappies though for us. A few of us have found Asda sleep suits are a bit smaller than others length wise so I'd also get some 0-3 ones too, just in case you have a long baby. Saying that, Cole weighed 7.12 and I had to go buy a few early baby bits because some newborn stuff swamped him. I think I had about 12 vests and sleep suits in newborn and half a dozen of each in 0-3 but plenty of people bought us 0-3 sleep suits so we've got loads now :) I've found that Asda are quite short in the body and Primark newborn stuff seemed tiny. My favourite sleep suits are his Matalan, Tesco and Boots ones.
You can't have too many sleepsuits and vests! Like Sarah says, you can get through tonnes in an unlucky day. It's worth investing in some dribble bibs as well to save outfit changes due up spit ups! I found that Asda sleepsuits were too short and wide for my long legged, skinny boy! Boots and Next sleepsuits are my favourite as they're nice and long in the leg - Next have integral scratch mitts in their sleepsuits too which are a godsend! You need a size bigger from Primark and M&S stuff is quite good too although a bit shorter in the leg than Next. Seth was 7lb 8oz at birth and he just about fit newborn clothes :/ In fact he's 10 weeks old and still wearing a tiny baby coat and newborn vests and tops but 0-3 trousers and sleepsuits! I would say get basics now but go shopping for nice stuff once baby arrives and you know what sort of size she is :) xxx

Thanks ladies. I think I will stock up on more basic sleep suits then as most of the ones I have bought are quite nice, seem to nice to be slept in. Majority of them are from next too. I have bought some up to 10lb vests from m n s. most of the new born ones go up to 7.8lb. Just. My sure whether to buy those or not xx

It's 64.99 on amazon, where I got mine from. Free delivery too x

It's now £74.99 on amazon! How bizarre?!

I noticed things go up n down all the time. I have just bought the Motorola monitor for 109£ from 159.99. Seen it at 82.99 n 99.99 on there. Wish I'd ordered it when it was the lower price. X

It's weird as the TT machine was £53.99 literally minutes ago!

I missed out on a mobile I wanted the other day for just over £20, it was back to nearly £50 the next day! Crazy Amazon... :/
