It's ridiculous isn't it? Your doing fab so jealous lol x

I think it's ridiculous! I had a Bmi of 29 pre pregnancy & I had folk saying I shouldn't lose much more but needed to lose another 5 stone! I know an element of what they were saying was true but no way I could lose that much!

U r doing really well to have lost so much so quick and ur little princess is beautiful! Strange looking at babies for me- can't quite believe I'm getting one of them too lol

Thanks hun, hope ur well she's really good baby I couldnt imagine having another baby till she arrived, oh you must be getting excited :)
I been lucky with the weight I got a pain in my side so can't eat alot atm and I kept weight gain low in pg just by doing alot of walking couldnt really stick to sw just was careful and didnt have to many take aways x

Had my 28w midwife check yesterday - BP was high but not surprising with work stress and the thought of a blood test. Am actually nearer 29 weeks tho (29 tomorrow).

The baby measures 29cm (seems quite a lot and is between the 50 and 90 curve) and is breech. Hope he turns as I really dont want a c section, My husband refuses to drive (he has a licence but has a phobia about driving) and I have my daughter as well so the first 6 weeks would be so hard.

I know at 29 weeks I know I still have ages for him to turn - but Amy was engaged at 31 weeks so am a little disappointed!

Oh well - last day at work today before breaking up for my holiday (a week in Fuerteventura). Currently listening to the rain... cant wait to the sun :-D

Ooh could you let me know what the weathers like, I'm thinking of booking a holiday in feurtventura this time next year but wasn't sure it would be warm enough

Hey everyone - I had my first mdiwife appt yesterday and 6 vials of bloods taken - *churn* I dont think i have ever had blood taken so it was a first for me (and considering i am 33 i guess thats quite odd!)

I am 20+1 today! and have had to put the maternity jeans on today :( My bump is getting a nice roundness, but my 'upper tummy' just feels chubby (anyone else like this?!)

A little bit about me - probably would help you get to know me! I was on SW since Oct 2009 and lost 5.5 stone for my wedding last October....! Fell pregnant early December and didnt find out until end of March as no morning sickness and still had some bleeding like a period. Did a test end of March and very excited and had myself dated around 5 weeks pregnant as last 'period' was 19 Feb. Then had a horrible bleed last Weds and went to A&E - then ended up having a private scan as the NHS wait was a week (!!) and on the scan discovered a) we still had the baby (yay) and b) I was actually 19+3!

To say I feel a little silly not knowing I was pregnant so long is an understatement, but to be honest ive had no sickness, gained weight gradually - but have been on holidays so put it down to that, and baby looks great!

I am waiting to have my 20 week (ish) scan date soon and lets hope I can have a peek at whether its pink or blue!

x

Wow at least you don't have to wait long :) is it your first? Do you have a preference to which sex? congratulations, you get your bloods done again at 28 weeks as well unfortunately.
Luckily I don't mind my bloods taken, which is just as well since they can only take it from the vein in the back of my hand :-/ have you got much for the baby so far? x

Yes its my first baby - and no, its all going along at a speedy rate! I dont mind pink or blue - as long as its healthy and gorgeous! :D

They did mention yest that they MIGHT not take them again at 28 as i was having these ones done so late.........!?!? I am holding on to that as a hope, but doubt i will swing that lucky!!!

Bought a buggy and travel system yesterday - but no, nothing else at the moment. We are currently buying our first house (i dont do things by half it seems) and that should all go through in the next month, so once we are in I will start doing the nursery ready for the little one! Yay!

x

Ah that's good, exciting for you all at once. When I was pregnant with my first we moved 3 times :) that kept me busy lol x

Yes - will do. It is a 4 hour flight (and we are going with ryan air). I think it should be about 23 ish but you never know whether its warmer or not (i know its chilly in the evenings as my mum has been recently.)

Thats amazing to not know - My sisters friend said the same, she was pregnant and found out at 35 weeks (and had the baby early too about 37 or 38 or something like that). I cant remember the exact amount of time but basically she putting weight on and seemed to be bloated so she went to the doctors.

The doctor told her she was pregnant and she couldnt believe how far she was gone.

Also in our small town a lady give birth in the memorial gardens (its not a huge town) but apparently she didnt even know she was pregnant. Can you imagine.

I had my bloods took yest at my 28 appointment - i burst into tears at the prospect of the student doing it. hormones haha

At least i have got half way and can relax and enjoy the pregnancy now!!! :D

I went to Fuerteventura last month - was SOOOO windy - but a great island, we hired a car and went EVERYWHERE!!!! So my bubba has already had its first holiday - haha! x

Good afternoon all

Thought I would pop by to see how everyone is doing....
Congratulations Ellabear ... if it makes you feel any less silly I didn't know I was pregnant either :p -I went for an MRI scan on my pelvis for something else and they stopped the test -when I went back for my results they declared they had "found something unusual" -I was expecting a growth or something nasty but low and behold it was our much awaited Charliebump :D -By the time I went for my dating scan (they thought I was about 8 weeks) -I was 18 weeks :p. I had no morning sickness or anything and I had just humped n dumped over 100 packing cases ready to move back from Germany and had been doing the 30 day shred, outdoor swimming and playing badminton :giggle:. I then moved back-decorated the house and waited for the removals etc.... and Charlie came out fine n dandy -and I was 40 in December ;)
Geordie_Lass - glad your scan went well.... not long now :D -my little one was breech to start with too but he turned at about 32 weeks - not that it matteered so much as he came out through the sun roof :p

Well little charlie gained 13.5oz last week and if he keeps guzzling like he is at the moment I can see another gain this week :D -bless him he has picked up someones bl**dy cold so is snuffly and full of mucus -although it doesn't seem to be bothering him - he is still sleeping well, really contented and guzzling badooby milk like its going out of fashion -he is soooooo obviously my boy -nowt puts him off his food :p. Im still doing a mix of badooby feeds and breast milk from a bottle and it seems to really agree with him and he has no problem switching between the two. The expressing is going really well now so I need to get some pots so I can start freezing some -Im getting about 600ml+ off a day so Im turning into Daisy the dairy cow :p
He has now moved into reusable nappies and they are so much softer on his little rump - if any of you buy the pampers new born ones they have like a net lining which seems to stick to my little ones bum and boy bits  - just thought I would warn you in case anyone else has the same problem....
right enough waffle again.. hope you are all well and all those bumps are coming along nicely...
oooh and here is my little dumpling bum doing his "butter wouldn't melt" pose lol

I wouldnt feel guilty i just watched it eating a bucket of kfc

I love that program - could u imagine if they put u with the superskinny? Her food looked horrid, the gruel and rice pudding sounded horrid (i couldn't eat that, I would be sick). I dint think the skinny one did very well today, didn't seem to try very hard but even that nice roast dinner she mainly ate the veg and meat. I would of def ate theft yorkshire pudding!

As u can tell I eyed up all the nice food, that last pudding of a toffee type roulard looked gorgeous.
