Pregnancy and Slimming World

Thanks all.... Jayne is after my sister who passed away last March too.

Heartburn so bad tonight.....was either the chicken and veg pie or the gravy or both that's set me off had two rennies and they are all gone and just drinking gaviscon from the bottle and its still burning I am in agony. Sleep tonight might be hard work

I got braxton hicks constantly with molly so when I was in labour I didn't know until I had the show at 9pm but even then it was mild pain to slight discomfort but definitely nothing to of had paracetamol or anything for....if it wasn't for the show I wouldn't of known. True pains started at 12am, went in at 4.30am and had molly by 7.49am that morning so super quick really.

Really hope I realise sooner rather than later this time around as worried my husband is going to miss it

I never got braxton hicks with my first 2 but i did get them with my last pregnancy. They are like a tightening across the tummy, a bit uncomfortable. Not had any yet with this baby. Hun its raspberry leaf tea and it doesnt make labour come sooner all it does is speed up the second stage of your labour when your pushing baby out. I didnt take raspberry leaf tea with my first but did with my second and third and it really sped everything up they were out in minutes and with a few pushes. As its your first baby and with your diabetes i would ask your consultant before you took anything like that x

Yeah I don't intend to drink anything like that! I've heard of raspberry Leaf tea but she's adamant it's black currant that speeds it up she's a herbalist but Id rather not drink any just to be on the safe side! I think when you go over due date it's ideal to drink it but I don't want to as my original date was mid July till diabetes kicked in so my little one will be born abit earlier anyway! X

Well that's it, I know people say each pregnancy and birth is different but at least you have been there a few times before so you know alot more than me if what to expect! I'm expecting it to be absolute agony then if its not quite as bad as I thought I'll be relieved but I doubt it! I haven't done a birth plan or anything just said I want as much pain relief and help as possible I'm not one of these that wants to feel everything I'd rather be numb! But I'm a wuss no good with pain lol! Anyway just about to try out my new memory form matress topper with new pillows I'm hoping being abit more comfortable in bed may help with my insomnia and heart burn through the night! Fingers crossed anyway! Catch up tomorrow sleep tight :) x

OMG OMG OMG oh Wowzer ladies invest in a memory form mattress topper!! I've had the best nights sleep in months! The normal achy leg syndrome didn't bother me in the slightest! The pillows are abit firm but still slept brilliantly! Just woke up to little one partying away inside haha!

Thanks hun, Feel much better for it! But glucose levels still playing up so have to go and sit down with the diabetes team on monday as I'm really struggling to keep them low! Especially through the night and first thing in the morning they are super high even though you'd expect them to be low seen as you fast through the night! Anyway at least I've slept so its not all bad :) x

I bet it's no bigger than mine! I have a few stretch marks on my sides but that's from years of dieting on and off! I put cream on every night even though its been proven that stretch marks are hereditary! My mum didn't get any but she didn't gain as much weight as me! Think I've gained just under 4 stone since last October which is such a lot for my height but I know I will lose slot once she's born! Then plod on to get the rest off! :)

Lol its bigger, the more kiddies you have the bigger it gets so if you decide to have another one it will be slightly more bigger plus my placenta is at the front making me look even more bigger. If i can manage to figure out how to take a pic and put it on here i will later. My stretch marks are all to do with my weight aswell and not so much pregnancy and my mum didnt have any stretch marks either. I will find out tonight but i think i am now at the 3 stone mark for gains which is also too much for my height and unfortunately even after baby is born it looks like it will be concentrated around my tummy so will be looking pregnant for a while after baby is born! x

Yeah I feel your pain there I will be the same it's mainly my stomach but other problem areas have blown up too! Just keep wearing your maternity clothes I've kept some maternity size 14s from when I was smaller for afterwards! I know it will take a while to lose the weight it is daunting I've never ever weighed as much as I do now! But hey HO won't be forever as long as we are both healthy who cares! I have sooooo many events coming up too not long after baby is born which is typical! I took the pic on my iPhone then copied it onto here, you just click the + sign at the top next to send button! It's quite easy and I'm rubbish with technology haha! Yeah my bf is pregnant with her 3rd she's 21wks and looks a tiny bit smaller than me! She had a c section with the second and said she gets pains from the scar stretching! Eeeek, I have a tattoo on my lower abdomen which I haven't seen in months I took a pic of it! It looks weird like its stretched lol! Wasn't your placenta low as well at the beginning? They haven't told me where mine is but said it was 4cm clear of the birthing canal!

I've got loads if pressure today in my bum tmi I do apologise but yikes it's painful and full of trapped wind which kills! :(

I didnt buy any maternity clothes this time round because i still had some of my big clothes which now fit again but were like wearing a tent at the beginning of my pregnancy:( Your right as long as we're healthy and have healthy babies the weight will eventually come off but i personally find the problem with eating starts after baby is born because i am just too knackered and will cook for my children but just stuff my face with convenient stuff and choc to give me a energy boost! Will try and put that pic up later.
Yea my placenta was low but at my last scan 3 weeks ago they told me it had moved up and was at the front so will be having a normal delivery thankfully. Snap on the pressure in the bum with the wind, I feel like i need to go to the loo but its nothing just her putting pressure and even wee wee is coming out a little at a time so i feel like i live in the toilet now. I hate the wind which is why i stopped eating veg but its now back and i dont think it will go away until she comes now! x

You mentioned you dont know where the placenta is i think it will be on your scan paperwork as either anterior (at the front) or posterior (at the back) x

I'm hoping to breast feed so going to really try and be healthy! I'm quite lucky with my fiancé as he loves cooking from scratch so when bed home we do eat well! It's when I'm on my own I opt for convenience food too just for the energy half the time I'm not even hungry I just eat for the sake of it! Or did do should I say, I can't with this diabetes I have to eat little and often to avoid sugar crashes! But anyway that aside! I think it's veg and fruit that's doing the wind thing to me so will hold back abit! I don't have much fruit but veg I do! I'm getting married next May so once baby is here I have 10 months to slim down but I'll have to start dress shopping around Xmas so I intend to jump on either SW or ww as soon as the docs give me the all clear abc I'm feeling fine to do so! I don't want to put pressure on myself! C
