Pregnancy and Slimming World

I used to really enjoy doing free step on it so may go back to that then... So weigh in and measure tonight and think about exercise in the morning

Been a momma for 5 yrs but second time round I'm enjoying it a lot more feel sonmich more confident this time n bonded faster it's just stressful as now a house to run and school runs and there's no time for rest!! Lol but unlovely my boys :)

Start weight: 14s 7lb After pregnancy: 14s 0lb Current weight: 13s 12lb To target: 47lbs

ahhh you will get used to it ..i used to find babe always wanted to feed around school run time witch was a bit akward ...gona be a whole lot different for me this time though as my youngest will be almost 9 when baby arrives. Its like starting all over again

they have some nice ones in mothercare i tHink the ones i like are called maternity fuller bust bras 18pound each but they are nice there not awful.
i went to fasten up my work pants the other morning and they wont button
i norm jus get them from asds so i was thiNking of going and getting next size up and seeing how they last as they are comfortable pants and are only 5pound.what you girls tHink?

i have been using the wii fit bit only doing the ones were you have to move side to side and maybebit of jogging on it but Nothing else.so i guess i hardly move on it ha but scared of doing to much
like i dont bother with thw stretches etc

Talking of high BMI, mine is 37. When i went for my 12 week scan, it was actually quite quick and the sonographer had no problem doing the measurements and checking for abnormalities. I was pissed off that she put on my scan notes 'difficult scan due to raised bmi' - load of crap, she had no trouble or difficulty with the scan and spoke throughout showing me everything!

Becca have you Checked with your midwife, I was told I wast allowed to go jogging any more x

Good evening all

ooh I have been missing for a while *bad bad me* :copon: -

First things first -"congratulations" Leeanne -what a gorgeous little bundle you have there :party0011:, I hope the breast feeding is settling down for you -I will know where to come when I try and get to grips with it ;)

Hello to the new mummies to be :welcome2:

Things here are fairly quiet -well unless you count the ongoing sorting out and yet more box unpacking that is STILL going on :p, hubby put some more shelves up in the alcoves in our bedroom today -Im getting much more use out of them than wardrobes and its taking less space :D -hopefully another couple of weeks and that sort of thing will be done n dusted out of the way... although I have emptied another 5 boxes today -so we are getting there :banana dancer:
We have plenty of room for Charlie bumps hammock (once I order it) -at first it will fit right beside my side of the bed to make night feeds easier and then there is loads of room at the other side of the room once he sleeps a little longer.

ooooh and his new wheels arrived a couple of weeks ago -NOT the ones I ordered from Mothercare  -I won't be using them again as they cancelled my order and then the £225 was held "pending" for 17 days  -so even though it was technically in my account I couldn't use it -good job I had more in there as I ended up seeing a better set of wheels on sale in John Lewis -and for £180 -so even cheaper and much better too :D ooh and delivered in 3 days too :D
I also got some great bargains ordered on La Redoute the other day -they sent me a code for £50 off if you spent £100 and it included sale items -so in the end I got £180 worth of clothing for £50.80 plus free delivery  -its plenty of things for littly in various sizes and then 2 nursing bras and some maternity leggings for me to loll around in.
It might be worth subscribing to their site so they will send you any offers through -every so often there are some belting ones...

Charlie bump half terrified us last week, he went particularly quiet and then suddenly I felt odd and noticed that my belly looked all saggy n deflated (it normally lookl like the telly tubby hill when I lie down :p)-anyhoo -that lead to a dash to the GP -luckily its at the end of the street -the midwife was out so my GP had a listen and "thought" he felt something-but he couldn't hear anything with his stethescope so he sent me to the early pregnancy unit and after about 1hr in total I got seen, they warned me that they might not find him straight away -and low and behold as soon as the doppler touched me his heart beat bellowed out light a freight train :D - Hubby burst into tears and I swear we had both aged a year at least .... apparently they think he was just practicing turning  -now I have read all the bumph and about the only thing I haven't seen anywhere is any mention of your belly going all floppy -still -now we know..good job too as the little monkey did it again today......
other than that he is being a good bump and kicking the bejezzus out of me -although he refuses to move if hubby tries to feel :p -he lies still and then as soon as hubby moves his hand he is off again  -good job hubby thinks its hilarious :p, oooh and an odd question -does everyone else feel the kicks in their "nether regions"? -I swear the 1st time he did it I half expected to find a foot dangling out -I think he is using my pelvic floor as his own private trampoline -it is the funnies sensation...

Im 28weeks tomorrow so I have a glucose tolerance test next Wednesday and then another scan and visit with the specialist on the Friday -so I will get to see him again :D

God I don't half rattle once I start -I had better get off and get on the reclining sofa -bump is much happier when Im stretched out -so it would be rude not to indulge him wouldn't it ;)
Have a lovely evening all and keep well!!

Ah poor Tristan, hate it when little ones are poorly
You might be lucky with his feeding like me, I was the envy of all mums, my daughter used to sleep from 11 till 5 at 3 weeks old, was brilliant. My cousins baby was the same age though and at 22 months still wakes up at 3.30 every morning
I still think breast fed babies are happier, regardless to what other people say. X

Ah poor Tristian, hope his feeling better now so worrying when they are ill.

I think it depends on the baby, both my girls were bottle fed (couldn't bf had mrsa) and have always been great sleepers. My lo slept straight through till about 8-9 am from about 2 wks and before then only woke once during nite for a little feed so have been luckly too.

Going try bf this time if all is well so any advice would be great x

Morning girls and good luck with your weigh ins .

sorry to here little one was poorly in the night leanne hope he better now

I don't know, Jack was bottle fed completely and slept from 12 til 5.30 then 7.30 til 9 from 4 weeks, and from 3 months he has slept 10 to 12 hours every night. He's now 18 months. He's been amazing with food from the start and he very rarely gets bored/unhappy. I think it depends on the baby and the environment not whether they are breastfed or bottle fed.

Sorry to the girls who bottle fed their babies, I didn't mean bottle fed babies are miserable or don't sleep well, was just referring to that study they were reporting about the other day that breast fed babies were mire likely to cry more and sleep less than bottle babies
It definitely depends in the temperament of the child and how the parents interact with them x

Oh and just weighed in and stayed the same, so 5 pounds gain for me in total at 18 weeks. Really need to etch what I'm eating more, pretty chuffed though after the disaster that was yesterday. Other half was naughty and cane home with a huge 15" pizza each, was yummy, but definitely sabotaging the plan x

I know what you meant you just wanted to give your baby the best start in life its not easy bf so you should be proud I can't keep up with all the studies they do and I use to work with babies.

Well done with sts im struggling at moment in last 2 wks ive gained 3lb I know its not bad as im 29 wks but really don't want to start balloning up as ive done quite well till now.

Pizza sounds yum x
