Good evening all -hope everyone is well

Well I went for more bloods regarding my cholestasis and had a CTG - yesterday so I got to listen to bumpaloo's freight train of a heart beat..god he sounds a sturdy little b*gger , then today I went to get another scan :D and to see the specialist to sort out a date for my C-section etc, my midwife warned me yesterday that with a c-section they wouldn't let him go past 39 weeks and that with having cholestasis they would fetch him out between 37+39... but it was still a bit of a :faint2: today when she gave me a date of NEXT THURSDAY -by which time I will be exactly 37 weeks, she was going to leave it until I was 38 but when she rang the chief obstetric consultant he said NO -37 weeks is safer for baby, he had looked into all my info and as charlie bump is now a respectable estimated 7lbs and a bit and 37 weeks is classed full term ... next Thursday it is.
SO today I had a steroid jab and have another one tomorrow just to help his lungs an tummy a little "just in case", then Monday I have another CTG and bloods, then they will let me know if Im first or 2nd on Thursdays list :D

Because I have to have a general aneasthetic they have told me that there is a slight chance Charlie may need a little help for a couple of days -mainly as he is likely to be a little sleepy and need help whilst he learns to regulate his temp etc -but its only a "maybe" but Im prepared just in case ;)

I know that there are lots of thoughts on what sort of birth etc -but I have to say that as much as I would prefer a "natural, straightforward" birth -I really don't feel like I have failed in any way or that Im really missing out - after 9 years of trying for this little bundle Im sure that Im doing what is best for both of us -but especially for CharlieBump, I swear if they told me that standing on my head in a corner and waiting for him to drop out my nose was my safest bet -I would try it :p. For me that couple of hours I might miss with him are nothing compared to the fact that If I tried any other way I could damage or kill one or both of us.

Anyhoo -thankfully Im all set -the house is fettled, everything is packed n ready -all his stuff if washed n pressed including his nappies..so for the next 6 days Im going to get some serious relaxing done :sign0151:

I hope everyones bumps are coming along nicely......
have a great evening all and get those feet up ;)

Wow capricorn you must be next on here, not long till ur getting cuddles wiv ur georgeous baby. I've got my date for section its 3rd, so only be a few days between our babies I be 38+5.

7lbs at 36 wks is a really good weight so im sure ur both be fine, get much rest as you can over next few days x

Thanks Cas...
It sounds like I will be about leaving the hospital as you are going in -if everything goes smoothly :cross:
I think little bump knew he was going to be coming early as according to the scan today he has gained about 1lb in 1 week -guess he might take after me and can gain weight in a blink :p
Im feeling really calm about the whole thing as I know that once he is out of me is will be safer than left inside me for much longer, at the mo I just have to let them know if his movements slow down and *so far so good* as he is right old wriggle pants
Lets hope we both get nice smooth deliveries :D

Capricorn - Can I just say that I love reading your posts (whilst I'm stalking this thread - hoping for a sprinkling of baby dust my way). I think that you should print all of them out as a 'Before you arrived' diary!!! :D :D :D

Totally obsessed with draw something, anyone else use it? x

Not heard of it love!

Hope we havent scared anyone talking in to much detail about subsquent c sections!

Capricorn you have such a lovely way of thinking and you are spot on there is no faliure in having a c section all that matters is you and baby have a happy healthy outcome. From expeirance an elc has many benifits , ur mentally prepared everythings in place ect. Im sure both u and babe will be flne.

Im awake early with really bad pain uder my ribs not sure if i should worry or not as it could be just rib pain but hope its not epi gastric pain a warning of pre eclampsia.

Had my 4d scan yesterday was amazing will post pics later.

Hi sweetchant1lly, I have been lucky so far, no major complications with any of my sections, my bladder was stuck to my uterus and had to be separated during my last section but apart from that I have been fine, I actually have to see a urologist in May though because somethings not right with my bladder and hasnt been since my last section, I get constant infections and loads of pain, dont know if this is related to the section or not, I hope not.

I wasnt encouraged to have a vbac with any of them, even my second baby, I wish I had been now. I have always been told, at least after my 3rd that if I go into labour it will be an emergency section, I went into labour with my last, rushed to the hospital prepared for my section, but they were too busy to do it and left me in labour for 3 days before eventually doing an emergency section at 1am after baby got distressed and I was 4cm by this point. I was so angry with them, I think this has also contributed to my fear about this next one.

Have you already had a vbac after 3 sections? I dont know if many hospitals would be happy for you to vbac after 3 sections, my hospital allowed vbac after one c section, I made a fuss and they said I could try with my third baby, so after 2 sections, but they were not happy about it, unfortunately my bp went up so this was not possible in the end. It is something to think about, ultimately they cant make you have a section, but 3 sections is a lot, dont think I would be brave enough, lol. but if you want more children, I would ask for a second opinion x

My bladder along with other organs were stuck aswell hun! And i also get lots of water infections witch i thought could be connected to my last section.

Hope ur tests go ok hun and u get to bottom of it xx

Ooh I'm on draw something username sneezingmonkey lol x

Hiya guys , how have you been ? bit of a hetic weekend for me we had our 4d scan witch was fab but my 8 year old wasnt to well and had to keep going for a pee and saying he was feeling weird ,...nothing showing a infection or anything though so it almost seems like a panic kinda thing.

spent the evening a hosp last night with that pain i mentioned no other signs of pre eclampsia though so thats positive just wish we could get to the bottom of this pain as i was in tears with it again last night .. i have been refferd for an emergency consultants appointment not sure when it will come through though.

Ive managed to lose 4lb over the past two weeks so im quite pleased with that.

i have taken a few stills from scan vid so thought id share them with you

Hello ladies, how are we all. 26 weeks today for me. :) been busy with work as usual but today is my day off and me and Amy had a mummy day. We had a picnic in garden with her dollies followed by ice cream.:) then in afternoon we went to friends, relaxed in garden - was fab and had 2nd ice cream :) do skipped weigh in tonight. Amy was so tired and husband was late home so it would have been hard work.

Good evening all

Just a quick one from me before I tootle off to bed.
Hopefully, if all goes well my little charliebump will have arrived safe n sound by this time tomorrow :cross:
I have to phone the delivery suite tomorrow at 7am to make sure there is still a bed and then if so be in for 8am where they will let us know which out of me and 1 other lady will be getting C-sectioned first :D (assuming there are no emergencies that need to be done first)

I don't think it has quite sunk in yet -Im not at all worried about the op even though Im going under a general -Im just desperate to know little one has arrived safe n sound...
Wish me luck and keep your pinkies crossed
:p
