Pregnancy and Slimming World

37 weeks today. I know she was just tired but it was a constant battle. I made tea, she was so naughty with it. Then she did an accident (but i think it was because her bits were sore as she said she needed a wee and had a dribble on her knickers but then said her bits were sore). This didnt annoy me though and instead she got lots of cuddles as she was quite upset saying it hurt. We ended going upstairs and i give her plenty of water to drink as if she was sore and the wee is concentrated it would hurt more. I also put some cream on (she didnt even look sore so not sure if it was an attention thing). Then we stayed upstairs playing with her toys until I thought I could get away with bath time. She went to the toilet and said she wasnt sore now so am pleased about that. :)

It probs didnt help how tired i was today, I woke up 4am ish and struggled to get to sleep. I was properly up at 5.30 as was awake so long i was irritated i couldnt sleep. I ended up having 2 loads of washing sorted by 8am! haha

That's early, Jack's knackered so he'll be going to bed shortly I just hope he sleeps past 7 x

I have always been quite lucky with her sleeping, she normally goes to bed 7pm til 7am but the last few nights she has been super exhausted, yesterday she actually slept for 13 hours. (Her alarm which is not sound related just changes from blue to yellow when morning was set for 7 and she slept through it which isnt like her).

I think she is at the stage that she could sometimes do with a day time sleep and tends to if we are driving somewhere. Today was probs one of those days that had we gone in the car for even 10 mins she would of been out like a light but we stayed local today.

My daughter is a right cow when she's tired, we have little slinging matches at the moment coz I get really ratty when I'm tired too. Thankfully she is normally in bed around 7 then comes into my bed at about half 7 in the morning when hubby leaves.
I'm quite happy with 1st 10lb just gotta wait to see how much I can lose at birth. My daughter weighed 8lb so probably looking at a 8 or 9 lb one this time as well

Yeah Jack's always slept 10-12hours a night even with a nap in the day time, but we let him go to sleep after 8 in case of those days he only sleeps 10 hours as I don't want to be up at 4 in morning while I'm at work. It's great though him sleeping so well I just hope this little lady is quite good with her sleep too :)
We've recently tried getting him out of his nap but then he physically can't stay up past 7 and the whole thing goes wrong x

My daughter has naps when we're at home but if we've been out the whole day she tends to just go to bed at 6 instead and wake up at maybe 9 in the morning, kinda hoping I can get both to nap at the same time so I can do some relaxing. Hoping u get another good sleeper, Lily slept from 11-5/6 from about 3 weeks old which suited me fine. Used to hate it when the health visitor used to tell me I was doing wrong and that I should be waking her up for feeds, my thoughts were if she was that hungry she's a baby and would cry to be fed, plus she was still alive so couldn't have been doing that badly

Exactly I totally agree. I flipping hate that, as far as I'm concerned the baby will wake up when hungry/wet as long as Jack was putting on weight and having plenty of feeds when he was awake I told her I wasn't waking him up to feed him. I even reminded her that I need to sleep when he did as he never had more that 20 min power naps during the day. He never gorged himself when he woke up so he obviously didn't wake up starving. Some people will agree to 4 hourly feeds but I say each to there own as long as baby isn't losing out x

I trust hubby 100% and I KNOW he wouldn't do anything. But I'd prob be the same as you, especially feeling as unattractive as I do I'd be jealous of all the women he'd be looking at, but try not to worry hun you'll feel better when he is home x

Well I'm ready for work and just said bye to him and the basket case that I am at the minute I just bawled my eyes out when he left!! :0(

Trying to plan what all I can do now over the weekend.... Paint the fences front & back, clean decking, sort paperwork, pregnancy massage.... Sunday will come quick ...

I hope it goes quick for you, don't over do it though trying to keep yourself busy x

Congrats Sweet Chantily, she looks lovely (and I love the name!) Did they send you home Wednesday as I thought normally you got kept in 3-4 days with a c section not just 2! Hope you get plenty of support from the midwife!

Yeah I have been lucky with Amy being a good sleeper (although not convinced this one will be, am up halfway through the night with him as it is – toilet, keeping me awake by kicking some nights, being too quiet so i try and make him kick other nights haha( I was awake last night from 2.30 til 5am ish (and then at 6 my hubby woke me up in the shower!!)

VM – it will pass in no time (my hubby went to Canada when I was 31-32 weeks (he was gone 10 days and it was such hard work with looking after my daughter). It flew by which surprised me (i was looking after my daughter though so i was doing everything and was exhausted). I agree, try and keep busy (but don’t over do it) and the weekend will go so fast.

Oh no, hopefully it'll change when baby born. My little lady is very active from 8-11 as night then she's quiet until I get up in morning so I'm hoping she is the same once born. Usually if I turn over during the night she squashes my bladder so I have to get up to go to loo pretty much time I wake up x

I had a thought today, u know when u have a big dinner and ur stomach feels bloated and stuffed. Well do u think that could impact the FH?

I know its irrelevant but just wondered if u think its a crazy thought or if can add a few cms to it? Am thinking it can.

It certainly makes sense but it also depends on your stomach though. My first 2 growth scans they had me measuring behind but my fh was 2 weeks ahead so it was wrong. Then my last two mw appointments before yesterday still had me measuring ahead. But yesterday I measured exactly 38cm and I'm 39 weeks tomorrow x

Woo hoo 4lb loss this week, time to celebrate with chocolate cake x

Talking of losses - i am currently 28+4 and i have lost weight for the last 2 weeks. Has anyone else lost weight during pregnancy? Will it stop and then i will be gaining baby weight?

Just wondered as I only restarted SW 3 weeks ago, and had gained approx 3 stone from my wedding weight (when i stopped being on plan) so i think im losing ME weight - but what does everyone else think?

x

I don't think there's any problem in losing weight while pregnant if your eating properly. Sw is very filling, very healthy and proven to work for weight loss. The thing is just because your losing weight it doesn't mean baby isn't putting on weight. For example you might lose 4lb one week off your body, but baby gains 1lb and so your showing a 3lb weight loss. I did a lot of research on this with sw when my mw and doctor wouldn't sign my sw forms and there's ton's of people who lose weight while pregnant and have a healthy weight baby xx
