To answer my own question I think it makes no difference. I have only gone up a cm in 2 weeks (but yet my bump has massively grown and i put on about 5-6 pounds in 2 weeks (will know exact gain tomorrow morning for 2nd week).

mummyclark - that is seriously impressive! does that bring you down to just a stone and a half on! Thats just under a stone less than me lol
I commented on my weigh gain to the midwife (as know can be a sign of GD) but mine appears to be more to be with me being greedy (i wouldnt mind but i would say i tried quite hard this week lol

Ellebear - i thought about this too and I agree with Oasis completely. Say me (bad example with my pregnancy weight gain haha) but I was normal range BMI and I gain 2.5 stone (after having the baby, placenta, water and blood flow go down) say thats 1.5 stone (probs a bit less but for the sake of easy maths). Therefore I am left with a weight gain of 1 stone. Lets just assume this is average.

Someone else with a higher bmi might only gain half a stone in pregnancy (have the baby and be a stone less than they started). In a way its almost like they actually lost 2 stone (the 1 stone average gain and the 1 stone they lost from their start weight).

This is the sort of thing that i analyse in the middle of the night when i cant sleep haha

I wish lol still sitting at 1st 9lb, basically I lost my holiday weight this week do I'm back where I was 2 weeks ago. Hoping to lose a stone at birth to take me to 13 1/2 stone so i won't be far off where I was. Then I just need to lose the weight I gained with my first bubba.
I don't think you've gained that much geordie Lass, think they say weight gain is supposed to level out or even decrease just before labour anyway xx

Am hoping to lose a stone too (at birth). I did with my daughter (and she was only 6lb -8oz) although was in hospital for 3 days so maybe that contributed.

I only put on half a pound this week (this is partly because I had breakfast at 6am as was starving) and partly because i ran round Morrisons and put the shopping away al before my 9.15 class! So i think all that plus several "wee stops" all added to the small gain.

So I went to a party at lunch where i had tiger bread, chocolate cake, home made flapjacks, crisps, sausage rolls etc. Just as well it was the day of weigh in.

Oh I have news! I normally slept on my tummy & miss not being able to.... I just have!!! I went for my pregnancy massage today & they had the most incredible bed- I've a big chest & a bump meaning tummy lying doesn't work.... They've a special bed! Holes for boobs & bump! Complete relaxation & I'm feeling fab after it! Watch out for those treatments in ur area if u fancy a treat!

Oh im dying for 3pm tomoro! Haven't slept much over past two nights so napping during the day- we've talked on phone for over an hour today and he's phoning me later He wishes he was home with me and can't wait til tomoro!

Went to strip clubs yesterday but 3 had dances & he wasn't one of them - then 3 of them were on way back to hotel & one asked if there were any 'special' clubs about- so taxi dropped them off somewhere- he and another guy sat in a waiting room waiting on the 3rd guy - he said he was completely disgusted with him & can't believe he'd stoop so low- so much so that he doesn't wanna talk to him at the minute! He told me he'd feel wrong even with a dance and couldn't cope with the guilt of that let alone the rest! Reassured me completely & I'm so happy the weekend is almost over & can't wait to have him in my arms!

Where has he gone? I must be really naive but i didnt think they actually had those places in the UK (not as a club anyway). Is it a stag he has gone on? I do hope its not the stag thats done that (or anyone else in a relationship for that matter).

I always said to my husband i wouldnt mind about the lap dancing club as long as he only had a short dance (they do long and short ones). My husband looked absolutely horrified and said he wouldnt want to go to that sort of place full stop never mind have a dance of any kind. I was so pleased!!

You should do something for fathers day for him tomorrow (you know because he is soon to be a daddy). Be something nice for you to plan tonight and be something good for u to do tomorrow

I would flip if my husband went to a strip club and he knows it, he says he doesn't like them anyway but I'm not stupid he would probably jump at the chance. He said he was too scared on his stag night to go to one when the others wanted to but don't believe for one second he didn't. I don't even like the idea of him looking at porn, even though I know he does. I know I sound like a psycho wife, and I hate it, unfortunately I had bad experiences in a previous relationship which I have found hard to get over. I applaud all you ladies that are happy to let the lads out, I want to trust hubby but I don't think I can ever trust anyone again.

He's in Blackpool! I couldn't believe it either! Got a completely different opinion of this guy now- thank god it's not the stag- the stag was sitting waiting with my hubby!

I hate the thoughts of him looking at porn or going to a lap dancing club too but I think it's a given if they head somewhere like that- and I figure he can look but dare touch and I'll chop it off!

I'm planning on getting him something nice tomoro for fathers day & nipping up to Antrim on my way to the airport & getting him a Starbucks to greet him with cos he loves them- will test the water bout the hangover first though! Then a Chinese for tea - my treat from the bump :0)

Just ironed all my baby stuff and sorted what I'm putting in my bag for bump but looks like far too much! Exciting sorting it though!

ooh exciting my bag is packed too with a list on top of things to pack when i go into labour (like toothbrush, phone charger, camera and eye mask). Need to add some extra stuff to the list though mainly for my daughter (such as her fluffy blanket, her monitors in case have baby at night and a cup for her). Am wondering if i should pack her some snacks though. Might get extra stuff tomorrow.

I think the only reason I wouldnt be bothered if my hubby went is i know its not his thing anyway so I know he wouldnt be comfortable in that situation.

Tomorrow we are making cookies (me and my daughter) and then we are going to frankie and bennys for lunch (there is a dads eat free offer)

Your pregnancy must seem like its flying over with finding or so late on! You look HOT too I can't wait to get a baby bump - have been looking forward to getting pregnant for so long I'm really hoping I have a good one! I know a couple of girls who've had a bit of a nightmare pregnancy and others who've sailed through - fingers crossd for the latter :cross:

Thank you Everyone is so lovely on here! I also knew pretty much straight away - we have been trying for 6 months so I knew my cycle inside but it was still crazy seeing the test come up positive!! I know it's going to seem like I'm pregnant forever as I've known right from the beginning but that doesn't bother me (yet ha ha!!!) I don't go to a class and my stats are bit out of date! I was 10 stone 5 when I fell pregnant and have maintained that weight for around a year. My target was a bit unrealistic and am perfectly happy at 10.5 so needs changing! However, I've put on 4lbs in the last 3 weeks simply due to being a greedy cow I really enjoy a glass (or 2) of wine so am replacing one vice with another - food! Going to make a real effort to start being good or I'm in danger of going wild! Got my first midwife appt on 3rd July so don't want to put on anymore before then! Here's hoping

Just been doing some Googleing. I know I fell pregnant on 13th Feb and my last period was 29th April so I would say I'm 5 weeks pregnant but according to how you work it out I'm 7!! How very confusing this pregnancy thing is!! I'm wondering if I should ring my doctors back and change my appt as I'm due to go on 3rd July (when I told them i thought I'd be 7 weeks) but I'll actually be 9. Would love to go next week instead as haven't seen anyone professional yet and am dying to see what they've got to say. think I'll give them a ring in the morning and see what they think.....

I think your always classed as two weeks more pregnant that what you are meant to be by dates.......can't really remember the reason for it though sorry I'm not more helpful, I'm sure it's right at 7 weeks that's what they'll go by until your dating scan keep your appointment at least you'll be seen sooner and it's quite exciting xx

If ur last period was 29th April turn you are officially 7 weeks today. when u conceive ur actually 2 weeks pregnant and when u miss a period ur 4 weeks pregnant.

Most doctors don't ask to see u til 9 weeks (mine didn't and they arrange scan for 12 weeks to officially date you).

I think u r better holding off too- i was the same as urself- dying to get chatting & make things seem more real & wanted my appointments a week earlier if I could but then I got my scan and was only 10.5 weeks - then the next appt was with the midwife just for a measurement of fundal height & listen of heart- that meant I had another 10 wks to wait til my next proper appt! That makes it harder! Try & hold off & believe it r not I think it'll end up going quicker for u if that makes any sense! Once u've had ur first appt u just long for the next then the next etc! Congrats by the way :0)

Ugh my body is confusing me today, feel perfectly fine energy wise but have bad cramps in my back, stupid pregnancy. On the plus side can't wait to go see my niece tonight that was born Saturday night xx
