Ah where are you? It's only 18 here but flash floods and we've had bad thunderstorms for 2 hours now x

I'm in Essex, sun is still blazing. I have all my windows and doors open a d still sweating loads, dropped to 26 now. Gonna be another sticky night with the fan on

It was so muggy yest in midlands.28 degrees in house, I am not impressed. Today still hot but we had massive storms. How I didn't go into labour with me running in rain with ny huge bump moving up and down.

Plus thunder supposed to start labour! Well it didn't. Lol
I can't believe all the symptom watching am doing tho, I wasn't like this 1st time but as this time I need to recognise labour (i didn't before) so I can sort my daughter out!

Lol I keep thinking everything is a sign, still have an upset tummy, but think that's just dodgy food now. The only plus side to this heat is the lilies in the flowers hubby gave me have opened up and now the place smells beautiful
It's race between you and me now Geordie lol x

No way will I be first. Was late by 7 days with her (but was thinking my 12 week scan with her I measured a week ahead but they didn't change my official date as was out by only a week). So actually that would have made me 2 weeks late.

Plus 3 or 4 days before I had her I went in with reduced movement & after everything was ok but I was late they did a sweep. Quite a rough one, I bled quite a bit after. I bet that helped.

So am here for another 2 weeks at least! Plus u know everyone says they aren't hungry near the end & ppl often lose weight. Well am STARVING all the time so probs no where near end! Lol

Really hope things get moving for you two soon :D Every day must seem like forever at the minute!!

I've got another question - hope I'm not getting on anyone's nerves ha ha! I just wondered if anyone was using creams or lotions for stretch marks! I know it's genetic and if it's in your genes you'll get them anyway BUT still wondering if anyone had any advice on how to avoid or keep minimal? I've got some cocoa butter and am thinking about getting some bio oil - has anyone used either of these? Reviews are mixed as far as I can tell! I do have stretch marks on the top of my legs and boobs but you can hardly see them - at the minute!! I'm under no illusions they're not going to make an appearance at some stage just going to try to do all I can to mitigate :)

I have palmers stretch mark cream that smells gorgeous and I also use Avon dry oil spray (both daily)

I hate my marks but they are there because we are awesome baby carriers xxxx

Sent from my iPad using MiniMins

Haven't bothered with cream this time, I used body butter last time and had horrible stretch marks, all of which came after 38 weeks, this time round I have 2 tiny little lines about 3 cm long on either hip but that's all.

And Geordie I'm sure your next, if I keep her in for the 2 weeks it's possible shell be born on my mums 50th birthday x

I ladies congratulations to you all on your bumps and babies! Just wanted to join this thread as me and my partner have decided to try for a baby! I have been following SW since jan and have lost 2 and a half stone so far and would like to carry on with it once I get pregnant so hopefully I won't put on 4 stone like I did when pregnant with my daughter! Hope you don't mind me joining even though I'm not actually pregnant at the mo x x

i used bio oil with my first - i thought it was great. i didnt get a single stretch mark. i applied it lots tho and it cost a small fortune.

i bought 2 large bottles for this time. they were on offer when i did but ironically i just dont have time to use it this time and havent and yet despite not using it i havent got one yet (and am so stetched, much more than before). I think it might be unrelated.

No twinges at all last night. Nothing - less than the last few days. Baby kicked a lot too so am guessing he is far from ready to come out (isnt movement supposed to reduce before birth) - i went 3 times to the hospital with reduced movement with my first in the final weeks.

on the weather, yesterday i was surprised i didnt go into labour as i was out in the thunderstorms. at one point i had to hold onto my tum and run! then later on a spider was in my friends car and , i freaked out. it was on a web and came down and almost landed on me - but didnt, it landed in my bag!

anyway back to the weather - my sis lives in gateshead and the weather was awful. she had to drive through torrential rain to get to her nursery and tried 3 different routes, each getting closed due to the rain. She is a really good driver and she was in tears panicking, if she did i cant imagine what the rest of the drivers would have been like. i thought i would post some of the pics she sent

My little ones moved like crazy right up and through labour, Jack moved that much they had to keep putting the grips in his scalp to monitor him to make sure he was just active and not stressed. I was feeding Naomi last night and this fat spider went running along the wall. I yelled at hubby obviously he thought it was something wrong with baby lol but I was just like 'oh my god there's a spider get it!'
The weather was awful here in Blyth, can't imagine having to cope with the floods around Gateshead etc
Hope baby wants to make an appearance shortly x

It apparently was just to batter central and northern England, but I can't believe how torrential the weather was here when the temperature down south was high. Times like this I miss being a southerner lol :) x

i cant imagine either, but yesterday in the midlands it was awful with the rain (not as bad as gatehead mind) but in the afternoon when i picked up my daughter from nursery they were outside in the sun wearing sunscreen - as it was hot! it was 28 degrees still as the rain here was caused by how muggy it was.

had awful slimming world day yest - i lose count of the amount of rubbish i consumed (never mind synning it). its weigh in today and i know i have gained!

I've been using bio oil too ( I've nearly gone through 2 bottles and I'm only 18 weeks!!!) I have no idea if it works but I don't want to run the risk of getting stretch marks.... Although I know it's kind of genetic, but I'm trying everything!!! I tend to use this mama naked stretch mark cream in the mornings then the bio oil at night ( too greasy for the day!!)

On another note, I was looking in the mirror yesterday and I've noticed lots of tiny blue veins on my back, like broken veins... Is this normal???? And do they disappear after birth?? Because they look so much worse than stretch marks and I don't know what to do!!!!

Weigh in for me today as well do fingers crossed, technically I'm over my 40 weeks so if I go over my 2 stone limit I'll accept it but here's hoping. ( shouldn't have had pizza and KFC this week)

I'm thinking another hot day again today as its 20 already. Trying to decide whether to go to Ikea today, but it's 30 miles away. See how I feel I guess.

The veins sound like varicose veins but I'm not sure if they go away, I'm sure iv heard before you can only get rid of them with surgery but tbh I don't actually know for certain.

Well done keeping your weight gain down to under 2 stone, that's brilliant!! I'm hoping to do the same but I've had a couple of weeks with bigger gains than I wanted :( Hope to hear good news from you soon!!!

Oh no, I've been fearing that they won't go away :( luckily they're on my back so I can't really see them properly!! Xxx
