What a fab deal you got on all that stuff.. Amazing!! Perfect timing for your pregnancy!!! That's amazing savings right there...

I've my appointment for my SPD on Monday... Mine's only minor so unless I do lotz of walking about its not too bad.. But gona go anyway just for tips etc..
4 weeks today til I start ML... N 6 weeks til D Day.. Excited much :D

That's pants that you're not sleeping :( Thankfully not something I've suffered much but I know some of the other girls have had a crap time of it with sleeping.. Hopefully it improves for you...

You must have all the big items bought now do you? x
I must admit mines only minor, but it does flare up when I'm at work, as I sit down for long periods, and that's when it really hurts, so want to get some help and tips.
Don't really want to have to finish work any earlier because of it...

I have suffered with insomnia in the past plus depression and anxiety so not sleeping was something I was getting used to pre-pregnancy!!
It's mainly just cos I can't get comfortable and I toss and turn a lot. And up a few times for the toilet.
Yet I can sleep during the day no problem??!

I know, I've got a cousin as well who was getting rid of some stuff as well, plus my auntie has given us a Moses basket, which is a bit of a family heirloom and my Mum is getting it ready for us and wants to buy the mattress for it.
It's really big and gorgeous!
Great timing, as all my friends/family with kids of about 2 are getting rid of baby stuff :)

I think we have got most of the big stuff now: pram, 2 car seats (we have 2 cars), Moses basket, highchair, cot, changing table (on the way), travel cot (will use as a play pen)....

In fact, I think we've just got to get a chest of drawers and we're done!

I'm sitting all day too but as its an office I can get up n wander as and when I please..
I know you're not that lucky unfortunately... Mine was at its worst leading up to Christmas with all the wandering around shops trying to find suitable gifts for OH family!! Its fine most days and I do at least half an hour a day on my ball which helps a good bit..

You're so organised.. We only got our big stuff after Christmas and only have 6 weeks to go.. LOL

We don't have a changing table but I didn't want one as I've only ever changed baby's on my knee.. Well get a mat for OH to use but I can't see him doing many bum changes if I'm about.. lol

It's only cos we've seen the things we want and got them, rather than waiting and missing out.
And obv my friend was selling stuff, and we've completely cleared out baby's room so we could get stuff in, so the cot's up :)

We didn't want a changing table either but as she only wants £10 for it (its Mama & Papa's too so v gd quality) and it matches the cot, we thought why not?!
I think my hubby will do his fair share, he's very hands on so I can see it being quite equal until he goes back to work that is lol

Yea well I guess if we got an offer like yours I'd get it too... It'd be handy for storage too so def too good to pass up :)
Will your hubby have much time off with you?? Mine won't really coz he works for himself so if he doesn't work, he doesn't get paid :( He's hoping they're won't be much on at the time so he can take a few days off at least but I think max he'll have is a week..

My hubby is in the same boat as yours really- he's self employed, runs a landscaping company with his dad so it depends how busy they are at the time.
The only advantage is his dad is very generous and it's his first grandchild so I think he'll let Paul have a decent amount of time off.
We're hoping he can take 2 weeks but May is a busy month for them so we'll have to wait and see...
Not only that but my parents go on holiday on June 8th so I'm hoping baby arrives close to due date and not overdue so my parents get maximum time with their grandchild and I can get some help from my Mum lol!
If not I have my Mum in law to rely on :)

Am sure MIL will be great but its not quite the same as having your own Mam is it?! Fingers crossed baby obeys the calender :) xx

Thanks NellyLou... A little better at least :) xx

Hello everyone!

I'm 23 weeks today eek! It's going so fast!!
I seem to have a craving for hot cross buns and Mini eggs at the moment! Been having hot cross buns for breakfast every morning and I have a supply of Mini eggs!!!
My tuna addiction is still ongoing too- had quite a few Subway tuna footlongs recently!!

Just a few questions for you ladies that are further along/ got babies already:
I'm planning to bottle feed, pretty much from day one, and I want to know what the best formula and bottles are?
Most of my friends with babies say Aptamil for the formula and Avent for the bottles but I was having a nosey in Tesco and there's so much choice!!
And I have no idea where to begin!!!
Also nappies- what are you buying? Friends are saying to steer clear of Huggies as they leak, anyone experienced that?
Pampers are the best I've been told?

Also I want to buy a sling, but no idea where to start with that?

Anyway hope everyone and bumps are well- some getting very close now?! X

Hi peeps. Sorry I haven't had time to update. I had to spend a week on hospital as I was a cord prolapse risk. Baby is here now though and a week old. We had two days in hospital with jaundice but things are improving now.

We had a baby girl! So in love with her. Exhausted from it all and trying to settle back into the normality of family life. The kids all adore their baby sister.

Oooh Dougal you've just made me want a hot cross bun! May have to take a trip to Tesco and grab some :p

Not sure on bottles, my sister who is pregnant with baby number 4 has just bought the tommee tippe ones...

In regards to a sling I want a fabric one that I can wrap her in indoors and outdoors.
I've been looking at a website called little possums at thestretchy wraps. X

Tesco have got double chocolate hot cross buns!!! I've got some in my freezer, I'm hoping they are as amazing as they sound!!
I had a tea cake the other day, when I couldn't get any hot cross buns, but it wasn't the same!

Yeh Tesco had a massive range of bottles and I saw the tommee tippe ones...

Oh I shall have a look at that website, thanks! X

Time is flying by for everyone just now!
I'm really hoping they start selling hot cross buns over here very soon!!

I'm following friends advice and have some Aptamil and Tomee Tippee bottles.
Apparently Asda nappies are good, I've bought some pampers ones but seems to be trial and error so haven't bought many yet.
We didn't have much choice for carriers over here tbh so we went for mamas and papas deluxe carrier, seems good and easy to use when we tested it xx
