Problems with Signature & Avatar

Hi guys, I'm wondering how come I'm the only one who can't have a nice and proper signature! I seem to have a character limit, but I've been surfing around and it seems like loads out there have really long and cool signatures!

And also, I can't seem to load an avatar cos I can't even reset field or anything. It's like I'm being forced to accept that I can't set an avatar
