Hello!

I'm currently on the cambridge diet, and have lost almost 5 1/2 stone. This next week will be my last on cambridge, but I'm looking at losing a final stone a more "conventional" way :)

I've done slimming world before, unfortunately I didn't have a good loss the first week and promptly gave up. I've been studying all the different slimming clubs, and SW definitely seems the easiest to follow, when I did it last it was red and green days, but it seems to have changed now?

I'm gonna have a good read of the posts on here, and hopefully will join next Tuesday. :)

the extra easy day combine both red and green so you can eat things like spag bol and shepherds pie but you only have 1 heathly extra a and b on extra easy days so it makes it easy to follow. i love slimming world

Hi Corrine and welcome back to SW! I think that you need to accept that it will take a few weeks for your body to adjust to eating normally again after CD. So don't expect a loss in the first week and don't be surprised if you get a gain as most people moving from a VLCD do.

SW have a new plan called Extra Easy and unless you're vegetarian it's probably this one you will be doing as a new member. Check out the thread for newbies in the sticky section for an explanation of what is involved. You might however decide you want to limit your carb intake in which case red would be the plan to do that.

Hi :) I am also on CD and am starting slimming world tomorrow to loose the last 1.5 stone . I have lost 6 stone 4 lb on CD but am now finding I need to start eating again and I know slimming world is a great plan . I followed it about 15 years ago and lost 3 stone fairly quickly , and you never need to be hungry so i am looking forward to it :)
If you are going straight from SS onto slimming world you should expect a gain in your first week ( approx 4-6 lb ) as you regain your carb stores and the extra water that goes with it !! I have been off plan for the last 4 days so know I have 'gained' but am happy to start from where I am now :)

good luck and dont give up if your first WI is not great ... it does work and you dont need to feel deprived or hungry :)

Thanks for the welcome! Determinator I'm working my way up through the CD plans at the mo so hopefully I won't have much of a gain in my first week of SW. The thought of "unlimited" food does scare me after so long of eating virtually nothing, but hopefully by sticking to low carb options I'll be ok!

I went from a very low cal diet to slimming world, its the best thing I have ever done....finally I am starting to win my lifelong battle with food.

If you have a gain first week stick with it, it will work just need your body to adjust x

I came off CD to SW and even though the first week I had a small gain (you are after all eating again!), I've lost at a steady pace.
Welcome! SW is the easiest plan to follow I agree, there is a lot less "thinking" involved, which for me is great! Just plan ahead and make sure you keep a diary you wont fail then!
