Iv been through similar. Before having my first baby I got down to 10 stone and was a size 10 with lots of spinning, weights, kick aerobics and of course dieting. After the baby I had the weight to loose which I did but with no exercise only dieting, I got down to 10 stone but I was a size 12, a whole dress size bigger than when I was exercising. I would get your tape measure out ad see how you measurements look if the scales are being mean. I found I did have to eat more when I was exercising and made sure I had protein straight after workout and then had snacks every couple of hours that were protein based.
