Question about fruit

I just saw someone post on another section that if you chop fruit up then its no longer free. Thats not right is it or has it changed.

Chopping fruit doesn't change the syns you're right Starlight!

The things that stop fruit being free are cooking, blending, juicing or mashing it as this changes the structure of the fruit sugars and makes it quicker for your stomach to digest (meaning you burn less calories digesting it, and it doesn't keep you full for as long).
 
Can you imagine if you wanted a bit of fresh pineapple or watermelon and chopping it gave it syns - it's not really something you can eat without chopping it?!!
 
But that would mean you wouldn't be able to bite it into smaller portions either, and we'd all be trying to swallow whole melons and pineapples!
 
Oh dear God!! I almost had a heart attack there!! I go through so much fruit in a week and most of it is chopped pineapple, chopped mango, balled melon etc....
