Chopping fruit doesn't change the syns you're right Starlight!

The things that stop fruit being free are cooking, blending, juicing or mashing it as this changes the structure of the fruit sugars and makes it quicker for your stomach to digest (meaning you burn less calories digesting it, and it doesn't keep you full for as long).

No it is not true. If you blend it, juice it or cook it you can consume far more of it than you would if you were eating it in it's natural state and it then has a syn value but chopping it up does not give it a syn value.

Can you imagine if you wanted a bit of fresh pineapple or watermelon and chopping it gave it syns - it's not really something you can eat without chopping it?!!

Oh dear God!! I almost had a heart attack there!! I go through so much fruit in a week and most of it is chopped pineapple, chopped mango, balled melon etc....
