Question about ketosis!

Yep !

Remember that a ketostick shows the amount of concentration on ketones. So in the morning, because you haven't been drinking overnight they will be more concentrated, and therefore your ketostick will be darker pink.

However, as you drink during the day the ketones become more diluted, therefore your ketostick will be paler.

If you are following the programme you won't have come out of ketosis, it just looks pale (even if there is a tiny hint of pink ketones have been detected). You want your ketostick to be pale, because if it's dark it means you are not drinking enough. When I actually have ketostix I always test in the morning because I get a reading that is easier to read, only because of the concentration.

Hope this helps xxx

i asked my CDC the same thing when I started and the replies you have had r spot on. Its the copious amounts of water that you drink that prevents the stix from registering a colour change. I found I gave up with the stix after a couple of days cos I became a little obsessed with testing all the time.:D
