Waiting for good news on the ring front, 6 1/2 years is plenty long enough - mind you me and mr v have been together 9 now

Have a fantastic Sunday

Rings are lovely hun :D

How exciting if he pops the question soon

xxx

Morning Rach,

oohhhh the suspense, hope you don,t have to wait much longer, the rings are gorgeous, have a lovely day x

i hope i have a say! :p

this is the sort i would personally choose:

Platinum quarter carat princess cut diamond solitaire ring Diamond and Watch Specialist - Ernest Jones

although i do like the classic detail rings like this one:

18ct White Gold 1/3 Carat Solitaire Ring - H.Samuel the Jeweller

or this one.. (its in the sale, its worth it :p)

18ct White Gold 3/4 Carat Diamond Solitaire Ring - H.Samuel the Jeweller

Wow! Beautiful! (All of them....not fussed as long as it's big, beautiful and sparkly! :p)

How exciting for you though! Wait in anticipation for the proposal....... I've been with OH about 2yrs now, we had the whole marriage conversation last august where we both decided it was in the future somewhere, then I was instructed not to steal his thunder with it as he wants to do it properly...lol... so I have now waited for a year for that all important question...so excited for you! :) xxx

How exciting about the engagement, I hope it's sooner rather than later!

I saw Inception too, thought it was rather fabulous myself. Hope you're having a good day x

Core was going great until I agreed to trust someone elses cooking - "oh it's all fresh made with spices and tomatoes etc". So when it came out a pale, yellowy green colour I wad like eh up what's gan on here? Oh well we ran out of tomatoes so I put a jar of sainsburys Thai curry sauce in (32points a freaking jar ) and then Matty dug me in the ribs to say don't protest just eat the damn thing. So I was in a mood with him last night.

Mood carried over to today when I went for my PT session to find out he'd freaking forgotten and double booked - so guess who had to settle for not having a session . Took anger out in form of exercise which wasn't too bad I suppose but I didn't get my hydration right and I've got a stinking headache now. Carrying on with core until end of day at least. Going to check what matty fancies to eat this week and plan ahead to see if points or core will be more suitable.

Don't know if I mentioned but I got a dress on Friday in the river island sale - was 45, with some haggling (it needed a new hook and eye on the back) and rehemming, I got it down to 7.50 as long as I don't return it :) so I also splashed out on some hook and eyes for 89p. Rehem is invisible so will ask quickstitch to fix that :D

As for rings, I know he wants to make a big deal out of it so I'm thinking it'll probs be Xmas or our 7 year anniversary in march. Gives him time to save.. Or talk himself out of it haha :)

Sounds like a trying day then rach aswell as the curry:mad:
So annoying when something like that happens but never mind you got a bargain dress to make up for it.

I got a dress off ebay thats just that bit too long, dont know anyone with a sewing machine apart from mum & shes coming here before we go on hol...not sure if i can ask her to lug her machine up here to do some sewing for me.
The nearest 1 of those quick sewing places is merry hill & not sure what they charge:confused:.....rambling now:eek:

Are you still weighing in/going to class?

xx

Thats a bargain frock you got there. I do like a bargain

Forget about the thai sauce I'm sure I saw it added to the core plan recently. Have a fab Tuesday

Charly it's 7.50 for a rehem not sure if it'd be more but you put it on and they pin it to make sure it's exactly what you want. I think it's worth it as I failed sewing at school :p

As for WI I went back last night after 3 weeks off and have gained 3lbs. As much as I would rather have not gained weight, a pound a week is really pretty good for me. Just gotta get my head around dieting again and get back to it.

I've decided to give Core another full week.

Weeks dinners are as follows:

today: rump steak, peas and jacket potato
Wednesday: linguine gamberi (eating out)
Thursday: rabbit stew
Friday: Turkey moussaka
Saturday: sweet potato and aubergine curry
Sunday: roast dinner

all can be done with only a few points for the red wine for the rabbit stew I reckon :)

breakfasts are easy - cereal, fruit and yoghurt or lean bacon and eggs. Lunches I generally do light with soup, salad or ryvitas :)

today's plan:

B - 3 weetabix with soya light
L - soup
T - steak, peas and jacket potato
S - banana, 2 mandarins and an apple.

Two bananas in two days.. Must be something wrong with me but I was craving one!!

Going to get round everyones diaries later when I'm back from the metro xxx

Oh Em Eff Gee Rach! I'm so exciting about your potential, upcoming engagement :) It is a killer when you know it's coming but don't know when. If you can sneakily slip it in I really recommend Engagement Rings - Serendipity Diamonds. My ring came from there and it's cheaper than jewellery shops as it's purely online so overheads are less. My ring was about £700 and in HM Samuels or something it would be about £1.5k. My diamond has a much better colour (clearer, less yellow) and better clarity than the ones going for nearly twice the price.. the ones on HM Samuel have a clarity of P1 which means noticeable flaws. The website explains all about cut, carat, clarity and colour really well. Also, you can choose then ring the select different colour, carat, clarity and band material meaning you can spend more on something like clarity or carat and less on colour, which isn't that noticeable after a certain level :)

Core sounding good Rach
hope your day turns out alright
we shall now all be watching this diary
with baited breath for the annoucement

3lbs in 3 weeks is very respectable Rach I can put that amount on in one week alone.

Very organised you are, what with the menus for the coming week planned in advance. I think when I finish my daliance I shall return to core. Not so much faffing around is there

Have a fab day

Afternoon Rach,

as you say 3lbs isn,t bad at all, & your menu looks great for the week apart from the rabbit stew;)

cheers guys.. Jo, i've never had rabbit before so trying it today.

Its not so much a stew - i've made it with the rabbit, onions, rosemary, apple, salt and pepper, 1 can of cider, chicken stock cube and water and have it whacked in the oven now before work so Matty can warm some up for himself later.

I've started back at Sainsburys as of yesterday, so anyone round my area / passing through is welcome to come say hi. Things have started bouncing, such as council tax etc.. so needs must :p

Had a nice short shift yesterday - 12-5. In 1-10 today, 11-8 tomorrow, 10-1, 2-7 split shift on saturday, and 11-4 on sunday. Monday off though, so not too bad :)

Been to gym this morning as yesterday i went and Mike the FM / my PT talked me into a spin class. I didnt think it would be too bad as i did get to stare at him in a very tight cycling top for 30 mins, but my legs are knacked today as expected. Going up stairs hurts, coming down hurts and is difficult as legs dont want to bend. Bum feels like it fell out big style with the bike seat and went 12 rounds with it :p

So of course, went back to gym this morning before work to try and work some of it off.. after 15 mins interval hill training on treadmill, legs said no.. so i just worked on upper body strength. Everyone at work said i looked slimmer, so i'm dead chuffed even if i havent lost the weight :)

i'd happily stay at 15 stone if i could trim down / tone up and look like Kelly Brook or someone :D

anyway, just want to apologise that if i dont get round your diaries soon, i will asap - just with me now working i have a lot less time to get on! :p xxx

Ha, me thinks it was more to do with the very fit Mike ;)
