Hi guys!

I'm having a panic as I can't find ray wings registered anywhere! Bought some from the fish counter at Waitrose thinking of trying something new and exciting, but now I don't know what to do haha!

Can anyone shed some light on this please? I'd be very grateful!!!

Lots of love, Caramelle X X X

I wonder if this is what I would call skate wings? Is it a white fish? Does it look a bit like this:

If so it is free on red and extra easy.

Ok, just did a bit of Googling, and ray and skate wings are more or less the same thing. So yes, it is free on red and EE, and is a superspeed food as well.

If you Google skate wings, or ray wings, you will find lots of recipes.

In the recipes I found, skate and ray seemed to be interchangeable - how is it different? When I am in Waitrose tomorrow I will have a look - not really an expert on fish!!

It's just a different fish! They are really similar in terms of taste and appearance but they are definitely different. You can use them for the same things though, but Waitrose doesn't stock skate at all because there is no sustainable source currently :) same for swordfish!
