Reached My Target... Then, Doh!

Treated myself to some lovely electronic scales on my lunchbreak today. Decided, as it was weigh in day to carry on using my old scales & I'd lost 2 pounds which meant I'VE REACHED MY TARGET WEIGHT! So so happy!

So what do I go & do? Take the new scales out of the packaging & weigh myself again. This time, 2.5 pounds heavier. Sigh!

I always knew that my scales were not the best (they were the non electronic ones), but I was using them for pound loss. Guess I just got a bit carried away with myself when I reached my perfect weight!

Couldn't have come at a worse time either. OH has gone away with work until Friday & I'm feeling down enough because of that as it is.

Any suggestions to pick me up & get through the week without burrying my head in chocolate?! :cry:

a few months ago I was this weight I am now then birthdays came along and I gained 7 pounds and its taken me quite a while to get back to my weight, and now I've realised its not worth being on a diet, you do have to change otherwise the weight will come back on again, your only 2 pounds away from target, you should focus on healthy eating, also maintence and you should be proud of yourself! you should also treat yourself to other things rather than focus on weight, you should keep yourself occupied rather than letting yourself feel down.

Thanks for the advice. :D God, I have been through a fair few of 'can't be bothered with dieting' moods in the past 3 months. Normally when I'm feeling down because the weight isn't shifting as fast as I'd like it to. Low & behold, I seem to have lost more weight this week & am my target weight in the morning today (I weigh myself at night each Monday). Therefore, I'm not going to be heartbroken if I'm not that tomorrow evening. I am very happy as I am the weight I was before university now (I used to weigh in morning) & I feel fab! Now just need to shift these few last pounds & 'healthy eating' is definatly the way to go. Treating myself to a personal pizza from Dominos tonight as a celebration.

i used to weigh in the evenings too, but my weight fluctuated too much at that time and I thought i wasnt losing weight when actually I was, I only use my weight as a guide anyway, its how you feel at the end of the day.

all scales are diff and digital ones ALWAYS weigh you heavier , the doctors use only the old dail ones as they say they are more realiable.. but in anyway all scales will weigh you diff

2lbs away !! you can do it!!! dont give up .. if you eat that choc your gunna be further from your goal... just chin up xx
