Really upset no weight loss 2 weeks in a row

I have 6 stone to lose and have been on a low cal low fat diet for 6 weeks now. I have stuck to the food side religiously and lost 12lbs in 4 weeks.

The last 2 weeks though I've lost nothing and today my weigh in day I feel really low. My vice is alcohol. I love a drink now and again and have had it the past two weeks running 3 days a week. Two bottles of lambrini each day so I suspect that's the cause.

I'm gonna cut out the alcohol completely now and see if next friday I lose.

Does anybody else have or has anybody had this problem? I just feel so crappy right now, like it's all for nothing. I was supposed to be having a halloween party tomorrow as a treat but have canceled now.

My sisters friend has lost loads of weight and she follows slimming world. My sister said she eats all the time and always goes out at the weekend drinking whatever she likes. Please can someone give me some advice.

Are you on your own diet or following a plan/ group? Well done for losing the 12lbs!

Weight loss can plateau at different times for different people, with me I'll lose a pound a week steadily and then eventually it'll stop, with others it can be 4 or 5 a week and then gradually get lower. It's basically your body's way of saying it's used to this diet now and so you'll either have to up the exercise or cut out something else from your diet, but I wouldn't recommend that if you're already on a low cal low fat plan.

Slimming world is good because there's not much counting involved and it's very easy to follow once you get to grips with it. I'm 19 and I save up all my syns for the weekend so I can go clubbing and drink alcohol, and even then you can still eat loads during the week. Maybe try that for a few weeks to see how you get on? Ask if you can borrow her book for the bones of the diet then there's loads of info on here about it xx
I will give you some sound advice.

If you burn 500 calories a day with some kind of movement then at the end of the week you would have burned 3500 calories.

Thats a pound of fat right there!

And you don't even need to "diet", Amazing! :)
