The reason why you have your hex is to make sure you get your calcium and fibre. This is really important on red days especially (on green your more likely to get some from spuds/starchy veg). Not getting enough fibre can cause all manner of nasty problems. There is a wrestler i read about who has given himself what is basically a hernia on his intestines by eating the typical weight lifters high protien no carb diet!! Not nice!!
