can everyone tell me their fave red meal ideas please? i have been doing mainly green and now i'm going to try and do mainly red and see if it affects my weightloss. the easier and more filling the better please!
thanks xx

Hi Jen

I do alternate red and green. on my red days, I would have for lunch is normally always salad, with either chicken cooked on the george foreman with paprika and garlic. another day i would have tuna and another day some lean ham. I pile my plate with salad and one of the said, and also some cottage cheese with onion and chives.
For dinners, I have salmon, or white fish, or chicken or i make a savoury mince, and bulk these out with lots of veg. My fav veg at the mo is mixed peppers, fried with frylight, with some red onion, courgettes, aubergines, mangetouts, mushrooms. It does the job for me anyway!:)

thanks hon. i just find meat and veg or fish and veg a bit boring. i made a nice chicken stir fry tonight tho and it did fill me up despite the lack of carbs.

my fave was pan fried steak with fried onions and peppers and roast butternut squash.

i start by fryng the onions and peppers in fry light im the girddle for about 2 mins then add the steak sprinkled with schwartz steak seasoning, couple of minutes each side.

i roast the butternut suash for about 35-40 minutes, sprinkled with a little salt, a little pepper and a little cinammon.

i also like this with a dollop of low fat caeser dressing (syns obviously!).

yum yum cows bum.

no reason you couldnt post them as well actually cos other people will be interested too. only if it's not too much trouble x

Hiya:) I used to do green days pretty much all the time as well but have recently started reds. My weight loss is better and I thought I would miss the carbs but I don't actually.:) My favourite atm is Tesco's "Chicken breasts in sweet chilli sauce" - it is 4 syns for the whole lot and it's lush! There is a red wine sauce one too for only 2 syns and probably some more but I kinda got stuck with the sweet chilli one...lol My probs is what to have with it? I usually just have mashed swede - the other day I tried mashed butternut squash - didn't like that one at all...lol Veg stir-fry gets boring too after a couple of days, doesn't it?:) Any new ideas?

roasted vegetables? i like brocolli and cauliflower or mashed carrot and swede.
the chicken stuff sounds good. i need to get the free food book i think because i dont have any convenience foods and i am so lazy i would love to!
