    Hi guys,
Wondered if anyone knows of any cold remedies or anything that will eleviate the symptoms a little bit?
I've had it for 2 weeks now and I'm a bit fed up. I'm going out for a meal next tuesday for my anniversary and I can't taste anything so don't want to be paying for a nice food if I can't taste it :(

I have a soup recipe that pretty much cured my cold when I woke up the next day. I warn you, you will smell for a while...

    1 small onion, roughly chopped
1 head of garlic (about 4 tbsp) minced garlic
1 pack of button mushrooms, sliced
    1 tbsp olive oil
    2 cups stock
    2 tsp miso paste
    2 tsp tamari
1/2 cup soy milk (I guess you can use any kind of milk here)

    1. Saute the garlic, onions and mushrooms in the oil until the onions are translucent
    2. Add the stock, bring to the boil and simmer.
    3. Meanwhile stir together the tamari and miso paste with a wee bit of the stock and stir until smooth.
    4. Add to the soup along with the milk and simmer for 5 minutes before serving.

Makes 2 large servings. I ate both servings in one day and pretty much woke up cured.

I hope you get well soon!
