Hello, lovely people. Thanks for clicking. Grab a coffee, stay a while..I could do with the company!:p

As the title suggests, I'm no stranger to slimming world. In May 2008 I started my journey, I lost 5st.. made it to the final six of Young Slimmer of the Year 09 and successfully stayed at target comfortably....... then my bundle of joy arrived and life just got better and better.......

But, this has not reflected on the scales. <insert various excuses and reasons here>

I have roughly 4st+ to loose, And it may be that with any hope, I'll be taking the plan through another pregnancy at some point. However! Plan A is to get as much off as possible first.

I'll be needing a hand to hold, some kind words.. (or bottled will power, anyone?) I'll be uploading snaps of my yummy food & posting daily (I hope!) It's gonna be a long road...

So, here I am! Newly married, mumma to a toddler, and about to embark on new adventures (first stop, degree!) And in desperate need to ditch the flab.

    Lotsa lurve, fellow sw'ers!

Ok! Here we go. Stood on the scales this morning and wrote it in my book. I resolved not to cry.

breakfast: 2 weetabix and my milk allowance heb&hea, plus 1 tsp of white sugar, 1 syn. 1 large orange

Lunch: Salmon fillet, sweet chilli sauce 2.5 syns, new potatoes and peas.

I had one big spoon full of natural peanut butter and 3 dried apricots. . im unsure of syns? I was so hungry ..I should have been prepared for snacking better!

Dinner: chilli con carni & rice with salad. I added 4 syns of cheese.

so 7 5 syns + the nutbutter and apricots. . probably 15 or maybe slightly over for the day.

That's what I've planned so far, will be back later!

    Hello Fern!

Welcome back! I remember you from days of yore, I don't think we ever formally "diaried" together but I do remember you. Well done for coming back. I am a total returner, only I have never actually succeeded in actually losing the weight in the first place. I have a newish diary myself (link under my signature).

We can do this! Your food sounds delightful today.

Are you working? Or an at home mummy? xx

I'm working in private childcare now, taking my girl with me.. It's a great combo! I recently got made redundant, I'm home until new job starts in 8 weeks! loving the break!

    Morrrningggggg! :)

I'm trying to build the courage to do some exercise tomorrow while I'm child free.

Today is food shop day, any suggestions? I'll sit down and meal plan first.

Have had weetabix for breaky as we've nothing else in! ! and some fruit.

Will get food shop done this am so I'm ready to go! Will report food diary back later. xx

Well that does sound like a great combo, there is always usually light at the end of a redundancy - at the time it must feel pretty bad, but in some ways it gives you the kick up the bum to do other stuff. What a great opportunity to start as well - I would love to do something like that, I have no qualifications in that area though.

I am glad you remember me, I remember you, mainly for the creator of "What's For Lunch"! !

I can't believe some of my threads are still going! it feels such a long time ago now. I've read some of my old posts and it almost doesn't even sound like me!

at the minute im working as a nanny, noodle comes with me and we both love it. Was totally gutted to be made redundant as I adored the child and they were such good friends, but I've taken the opportunity to reduce my hours massivly, going two days pw term time only now.. it'll fit in better with LO's pre/school and ive decided to start a degree in a relevant subject too! I want to go into peadeatric nursing eventually.. but that's years off yet. . . You can do loads of home based study these days, honestly go for it.

I'm feeling super motivated atm. Bit worried about Friday night, featuring big birthday celebrations (not mine! ) ..overnight hotel stay /set menus etc etc.

I also keep catching sight of myself AND pictures of old me and it's like a punch in the stomach :-(

1danone strawb yogurt -1.5 syns, apple and grapes

Lunch will be a jacket spud, beans cheese and salad and some sneaky bacon I think.

Tea- chicken rice and peas- im going to use the Maggie so juicy paprika sheets... does anyone know the syn value?

Tomorrow is FILs 60th and hubbys 27th. Big dinner party. Its a set menu.

Im going to syn free snack before so I don't eat any of the starter things. Then I ordered a veggie chilli, and dessert is a chocolate pot. I chose this as I expect it to be the smallest. Eep!

I'm really struggling to find somthing to wear and had a very depressing trip to the mall yesterday. Just made me realise how much I hate being this size. I have to do somthing now.

Fern, you ARE doing something now! You are stopping your weight gain, before it gets worse. Your family love you whatever size you are - I know how difficult and depressing it is when you go shopping, specifically for something to wear to an event, but I am sure you will find something nice to wear, plus its not what you wear, its how you feel - be happy that you are surrounded by a loving family and your gorgeous bubba and hubby. Enjoy your set meal, have the starters if you want, enjoy your evening, forget about everything else and then on Saturday, get back on it.

I am afraid I have no idea about the maggi syns.

    Thanks Charlie!

Fighting off the frustrated/low feelings and reminding myself that hopefully itll all be easier soon.. so long as I really try hard.
I made treat boxes ( if you follow me on insta you'll have seen) - yah turns out I can't be trusted  .. I ate all the freddos.

Definitely still trying to 'tame' my bad habits. Hopefully a few weeks hard work and it'll become more natural and I want falter so easy.

Getting nervous about this party. Lots of extended family who haven't seen me since I was skinny or pregnant. . I know I'll be feeling really paranoid all night. There's no hiding that its all back on!

so the party was full of alcohol etc. But the following day was SO much worse. I won't even list what I ate, I can't believe one person could eat so much.

I'm recognising a pattern. Feeling bad- crumbling easy- feeling worse etc.

Weighed this am with a measly 1/2lb off. .....

Am just writing a food plan, which intend to make exciting lol

This week will be a good week!

ive still not decided what day I'll weigh in on, Im wondering if to just weigh when it fits.
