Sarah's Pregnancy/Breastfeeding & Everything Else Food Diary - F&H

Tesco sell it as I saw it when I was looking for Mr Freeze ice pops lol And yes I just eat them like sweets, the lei many of frozen just makes it feel like a treat.

I will have a hunt when I take mum to Tesco on Tuesday! I can't eat Banana or I would try them x

I was gonna maybe try some Salmon tomorrow but it's like 9pp for a fillet. Don't know it it's worth it really, I didn't realise fish was high in calories?

I *think* salmon is a very oily fish so is therefore high in pp. Although the oils are good fats like in nuts and seeds so I sometimes think the pp are worth it for the health benefits. X

Yay!!! I weighed today after 1 whole official 7 day week and I was -1/2 a lb.

So jelly for breakfast....slightly odd but I'm pregnant :) I can do what I want.

2 x Crumpet, 10g Pineapple Cream Cheese (0pp) Egg (no running yolk :( )
Jelly with peaches in. Coffee with skimmed milk

Well Done on your loss, fab news! Booooo to no runny yolk, I really missed those when I was pregnant!!!! X

My mum and dad came round, I gave my dad his card and present :)
In returns I got:

- hamper of baby bath products, baby wipes, ect
- Pack short sleeve baby grows/Vest
- Pack Sleep Suits
- 3 hand knitted cardigans all with matching hats - she made them beautiful :)
- 2 packs Muslim squares
- 2 cute catapilla bibs
- 2 pairs knitted baby shoes

She thought she'd bring it round as she's been buying it all when she's been out and noticed reductions and offers. Said the dogs keep trying to get it, so thought she'd show us know.

How lovely......can't wait to put it all away and organise it all. :)

Today
I'm tired today, got some work to do tonight too, only an hour though. My uncle has moved abroad to Phillipeans and is struggling with his workload of business here. So I've taken 6hours work a week, at £15 per hour. I could have had more hours but I already work full time. So basically I do admin tasks and jobs he can't really do. I don't think he has good internet connections etc. Anyway he said he can give me more hours and I said maybe I will take him up on the offer after baby is born. I still don't know my plans. My husbands wages alone mean we don't get financial help and both sets of parents work full time. So if I was to return to work part time then most my wages would be spent on childcare. Luckily I don't need to make a decision yet. But if I could do 16-20 hours per week for my uncle then I wouldn't need childcare, as I could fit the hours in as and when.

Thank You! Yes no rushed decisions, we are financially in a good position so I don't have to worry too much. I just want to enjoy maternity leave for as long as possible before making any decisions.

I really really want sushi. I dunno if I am craving it or whether it is hunger. I might even buy some stuff tomorrow to make my own. That could be interesting.

It sounds as though you have an excellent opportunity with your uncle if you decide to take it. Childcare is one of the main reasons I have struggled to return to work, I've been back to different jobs a few times but it never quite works out, it's just a nightmare! X

I think you can buy ones in the stores with no raw fish? Those would be ok for you wouldn't they? X

I know Hun, they don't make it easy for people to work. My friend was offered a part time job in a school but had to turn it down as she is a single mum and after childcare she would have been on less money.

I know I can have the tuna and prawn ones, there is an awesome sushi shop near me, they do a platter for £5 & £3 and you can pick what goes in it. I just thought it would be interesting to make my own. I like to keep myself busy lol

I've always thought making it looks so pricey! I worked at Asda a couple of years ago, 16hrs a week and was bringing home about £10 more than I would not working! Might as well have got a paper round for that! X

Not sure how pricey it is, avocado, cucumber, choice of fish, seweed wrap, sushi rice + rice vinegar. Don't mind paying out if it's just a one off. Might as well make use of my disposable income before baby arrives lol

Definitely! I've definitely seen no disposable income for the last 6.5yrs ;-) x

Haha well I'm sure it was all money well spent :)

My mum loves it now, as my youngest brother has just moved out and her and my dad have the place to themselves for the first time in 30 years (as my older brother is 30)
She said she is still paying for us all, as we come round and empty her fridge. So I guess once you have a child they feed off your cash flow forever. Lol

Good Thanks. Woke up for the first time ever during the night since being pregnant. For a 3am wee. Got straight back to sleep though. Work today boooo but I'm trying to see the positive. I have 7 weeks left at work, so I have to get it done :) then I have at least a year off. So.....I must go in lol!!! I've never had a day off sick ever, even during pregnancy. So could have a few days off at some point haha
