Extra Easy Scan bran

Iv seen loads of recipes with scan bran, I have no idea what it is!!! Is it the same as ryvita???

nope..
it's scandinavian bran, shortened to scan bran..
sold at classes and at Holland and Barret stores..

resembles a cork beer mat with about the same taste..

best used in recepies or with a topping ( even says so on the pack.. )

I know its not ideal. But if your out and want to use it in a recipe you can sub it for like any crisp-bread and itll work just as fine (obv this affects the syns though).

I'm in the minority I think - really nice with a laughing cow lite deli and tomato - fab for snack attacks in the evening.

There are loads of variations on a theme.
Malteaser cake, curlywurly cake and so on.

often have it for lunch topped with laughing cow light and a tin of ravioli
on a green day, healthy, handy and tasty xx

it's not all that bad if it's soaked in something ( like the juice from the tin of ravioli.. ).. but dry on it's own it's "an aquired taste" to say the least..

Scan bran is like the SAS of Ryvitas lol you need plenty of water to get it down.
I heard a saying at group this week, 'scan bran works tomorrow oat bran works today!' lol

Just tried that with strawberries, that's definitely the best way to eat scan bran!
