SCHOOL PROJECT FOR 7 YEAR OLD

my daughters school is doing a project about the pope one of the questions is

how does he teach us?

now as non catholics we dont know the answer to this any help would be very much appreciated

Blimey, that's a tough one! I've no idea but my daughter uses google A LOT for things like this.

Mind you, as a 7 year old I suspect the answer should be quite basic - along the lines of through his sermons, speeches, public appearances maybe?

Thank goodness for google. How kids are meant to do their homework without search engines I do not know!

I think a good answer would be that he teaches us through example, that's what God expected of St.Peter, the original Pope. (checked this with OH who is Catholic)

Perhaps you could look at another angle of teaching.

He:-

has faith in people,
treats people with respect,
speaks to people of all demoninations
treats all people the same no matter who they are
is kind to people
for all Catholics he is a father figure.

These are skills which we can all learn from & help society live & work together.

Well thats all I can think off for now but will add if anything comes to me during the day.
