Secret to shaping up

gettingfit :) great news, they could be here any time now

Sweet, I love that achy feeling, not pain just a tightness that lets you know you have muscles. hope your workout today was enjoyable :)

omg I had the biggest bit of chocolate cake - with peanut butter type filling it was far too nice, brought in by a new lady on a different team she cut me a slab, so i wll be working extra hard at class tonight :) I know I could have refused but.... lol

You'll have that piece of cake worked off in no time at all!!! After all we all deserve a treat now & again :)

Workout was great. I really enjoy playing with the kettlebells on the days in between & I got out for a run this evening so I am really feeling a burn now  I think my pace suffered a bit tonight coz of an 'achey bum'!!!! lol

I was looking up Pavel on You Tube & I am in total awe!!! His dvd is top of my wishlist now for sure!!!

Hope you have a great class tonight

Wow Kron!!

Look at this amazing thread!! You have quite a following *smile*

Did Cardio W2 with 6kg KB tonight and really felt the difference.

Keep swinging folks!! xx

Hi Sweet, yes I enjoyed class.
I have been a bit of a wimp and taking my 6 with me since I got back from holiday, was finding it a bit easy, so took my 8 tonight and managed ok, feeling it most places :)

Glad your liking your play with the bells, would really recommend the 3 positions of windmills and the wood chop to really whittle away the waist :)

Pavel mmm it's like I have a crush lol
I am considering getting his Russian Kettlebell Challenge, just know I am going to fail miserably lol, it seems quite an intense workout so putting it off as might be a bit too hardcore ;)

Your doing fantastic :)

8kg is fab!!!!! I'm thinking I need to go up for the swings but still stick to 4kg for other moves still. You should definitely try the Russian Kettlebell challenge. After all trying & failing is better than not trying at all :)

Hi Hannah
Good to hear from you
People on this thread are great, I am really appreciative that people have had the courage and determination to give something new a go :)

Wow on your 6kg absolutely awesome. Your going to see some great results
How have you found the routines, I always moaned when cardio came up lol

Kron, I agree with Sweet, you should give Russian Kettlebell challenge a go!!!

Sweet, that's great that you feel ready to move up!

Hannah: well done on the 6kg!!

I am doing week 4 core in the morning. My favourite one :) I have actually had a full day of no aches......first time since I started kettleworx!

Its week 4 core in the morning for me too Shazz :D

Sweet get heavier if you can, try it on all the exercises, if your really struggling swap down for that one. It might be a bit tough in some places but you will see a big difference :) you might be surprised at how quick you adapt to a heavier bell

I know I will get RKC at some point, ....... I never believed i would have ordered a 10kg and it's been dispatched lol

Hi Shazz
Core - we love core lol
Uh oh looks like your going to have to get daddy bell out :)
Don't worry Ryan will get you aching again

Kron where do you order your kb's from? Sports shops here only have 5lb & 10lb in stock & I think if I was going heavierI would try to move to a 6kg & skip the 5kg. What do you think? Am I being too ambitious?

Sweet go for the 6 :) it will be tough, but not for long, and even if you just do the first set, or first half of the reps then drop to your 4 to finish off it will be so worth it.
I have got 2 of mine with DVDs, and the other just happened to be in a local sports store, looking for my 10 I just googled 10kg Kettlebell and flicked through - lots of York ones on amazon etc, as I prefer the metal ones I ordered from a more specialist site, there's a few around so it's looking at price and postage lol I do feel sorry for the postman

I got a set of three as a buy it now on eBay for £39.99 carriage free.

They are pink and cute. 4kg, 6kg & 8kg.

Can't do a link as I'm on my phone. xx

I know. The poor postman wont know whats hit him!!!! Speaking of hitting my chin is still bright blue after clobbering myself with one!!! Have been more careful since!!! I'll have a look for a 6kg. I'm definitely going for cast iron this time as the vinyl seem quite clumsy at times though have done the job ok to now

Cardio is my favourite, I like to get sweaty!! Feels like I've worked hard enough. I'm always surprised how quickly the routine is over and wonder if I've done enough.

Loving it all so far!! xx

I have done week 4 core this morning......with Daddy bell, so I'm sure I will feel it 2moro!! :)

Just done it too & really enjoyed it. I thought it was one of the most enjoyable so far (even with the side plank things!!!) I nipped into argos this morning to pick up the 5kg that was on offer to tide me over & i cant believe how much easier it is to work with the cast iron kettlebells over the vinyl. I managed to use it throughout the whole workout which I was pleased about & although it felt heavier it felt easier too if that makes sense

Shazz, well done for using daddy bell & hope you dont ache too much tomorrow :)

That's great! I didn't realise there was such a difference between vinyl and iron.

I really don't like the side lifty things we did today. Its hurts resting it on my leg, especially the big daddy one! Otherwise I really enjoyed core. :)

Finally my kettleworxs set has arrived!! Can't wait to get started :)
