Secret to shaping up

Hi fellow swingers! :)

Just at the end of wk 3 again on KWorx.

I love the bells, nothing else is as effective. I feel so strong and so much more toned after a few sessions.

The KW programme is the best money I've ever spent! Wooo hoo!!!

xx

I'm back!!!!!! Hated shred and missed Ryan, how u all doing? X

Sent from my iPhone using MiniMins

You cannot deny the allure of Ryan :heartpump:! LOL.

I'm fine ta. Still sticking to my 3 times a week alternating basic and advanced versions. Also this week I started C25K and will finish week 1 later on today. Just got a treadmill at home. I plan to fit this in around the bells which will see me doing something every day except Friday, which is more than enough .

Diet-wise I am maintaining and holding steady for the past 4 weeks at 9stone 12lbs. I am hoping to ditch a couple more pounds before Christmas so I have a decent buffer to get me through the parties and inevitable food-frenzy! :)

How you doing?

I will finish week 4 KWorx today. Tend to put each session off and then feel so much better when I have finished. My shape has changed so much and my backside has all but disappeared. Only wish the scales would move in the right direction too!

Here's one for all the swingers out there! Me in Tescos yesterday with my New Look Super Skinny jeans!

Sue that's fab! Look at you in your skinny jeans, Ryan would be so proud. I know I am, you look fantastic. :)

Cheers Plum. Couldn't resist the skinny jeans! :D

Cheers Plum. The boots are from Clarks but were an ebay find at £20! :)

Ha Ha Daisy - I'm a demon on ebay - you never want to be up against me. I cannot and will not lose an auction - which sometimes means paying over the odds. I wish I could be like those folk that put in their maximum bid and then walk away!

There were quite a few pairs of these knocking around on ebay. Clarks Ranch Boots.

For the first time ever I find myself interested in clothes and buying nice things. Before there was usually only two options - take it, or leave it. Now I find I have choice and I love it. eBay allows you to buy stuff that you might only wear for three months without it breaking the bank. -luckily I am one of those walk away people. I loved your skinny jeans and homage to Ryan. I have a way to go yet.

Daisy I couldn't agree more. It means the world to me to be able to shop in more than Evans and Ann Harvey. I never in a million years thought I would be shopping in New Look! I have had some fab charity shop finds as well which helped tide me over as my wardrobe started to become very loose!

I'm the same, enjoying buying different types of clothes now and feeling like I look reasonably presentable in them! Altho at the moment I feel like I'm buying many of the exact same things I had in the late 80s, lol! :D

(oh, and Sue, I'm the exact same on eBay. Much to mr plum's chagrine!!)

I haven't deserted you all! Working away from home fir a few weeks so finding it harder to keep on track. However I did fit a kettlebell session in yesterday. 5kg bell using the Kettlercise DVD. As I normally use the 8kg bell, thought it would be a doddle. Not so! Woke up with an aching ribcage so obviously did some good. Gary has a knack of working the chest muscles. Will post again soon.

I went to my first kettlebell class yesterday and really enjoyed it. In the class i got to use a 4kg k/ball and the work out was for 30mins (included warm up & cool down)

today my legs feel like i've done exercise but they're not that painful, so i'm happy i've not totally wrecked myself...although someone did mention that maybe i needed a heavier k/ball. as a beginner, i'd prob stay at the 4kg for a bit i imagine.

anyone recommend a good place to get a kettleball? thinking of maybe buying one to use at home in between classes!

Hi Jellyfish - well done on getting through the class. Tesco is a good place - they sell a 5kg and a 7.5kg. Really good quality and reasonably priced. You can also have a quick swing in the aisle to guage the weight - just watch out for other shoppers! :)

I had my shoulder op on 22nd Aug 2012, repaired my labrum tears (front and back) and scraped end of my collar bone to give tendons bit more room, so a lot was done! Now 2 and a bit months on.. My range of movement is not great - but slowly getting there :)

Wanted to get back into an exercise class, I'm not to do any running, jumping, quick movements etc so that rules out Zumba - so asked Physio if it was ok to go to kettlercise class once a week .. I think my Physio guy thinks I'm a bit loopy lol :)

So was Really pleased that Physio has said it's ok to go to the kettercise class, and I'm ok to do bicep curls with a light weight (2kg).

When I went to the class I also managed to do suitcase dead lifts, and a few Kettlebell swings with the 2kg.. No pain during or after - phew - in my shoulder :) BUT OMG!! did my legs hurt over the next 2 days, 3 mths of no kettlercise - ouch - once you start swinging I advise do not stop lol

Oh course I'm going again on Monday :)
