All advice/ suggestions really appreciated :)

Chickpea dahl in the ready meals aisle - about 70p a can and bulked out with some superfree veggies its a very quick curry for 2 meals.

Quark - try one tub to see if you like it, don't be afraid to buy some powdered sweetner to mix through and make it sweet
Asda's own Greek Fat free yoghurt - nice and thick for toppings with fruit
Asda's own GFY chilli cottage cheese - pretty sure it's either free or 1 syn a half tub or something, has a pretty decent kick
Asda's own Pineapple GFY cottage cheese
Dr Onken's fat free vanilla yoghurts - very nice and economical at £1 for 500mls

That's just off the top of me head :)

Check this thread out to see what people normally buy, for staples, HEXs etc

Wow! Your the first person on here who spends pretty much the same as me on our two person, 4 cat household! I thought I was doing something wrong with everyones 'I spend £60 a week!' :) I blame the cats!!

For two, if we stick to a list then it's around £45 but if we go off list then about £65-£70 (which is expensive for us) so £120 sounds loads

Where do you pay £7 odd for tomatoes.& the same for raspberries? Most supermarkets do 2 for £3 offers on raspberries at the mo. Plus Asda are doing 24 eggs for £4. Do you buy organic only? I would if i could afford i think
I spend nearly as much as you i think but buy far more meat as i never do green days. Went to local market yesterday and got
20 red onions
Massive bag of mushrooms
Same of carrots
12 apples
4 gala melons
5 bunch spring onions
2 iceberg lettuce
6 peppers
2 cucumbers

£12.50!!

ASDA Organic
Tomatoes - vine

So 5 lots not 4 lol the raspberries I get from M&S as I really like those, I have said before that if I can get to the market my fruit and veg bill goes down a lot

I thought it seemed a lot too, especially as I have to shop for 6 people and a dog on only £85 a week, but if you can afford the dearer stuff good on ya !!xx

Ah - makes sense. Was just interested more than anything else. I couldn't afford to spend on m&s fruit tbh, but i wish i could!!

Depends on where I am M&S or Waitrose or Sainsburys or even Asda, not Tesco don't like Tesco - what seems expensive?

I spend more even than you Weslhcake but there are certain things I prefer to spend a little more on, like the toms on the vine, and I will spend a bit more buying organic if there's not much difference in price, the taste makes up for it. I'd rather have a little of something delish than a lot of mediocre.
Once my own stuff gets to growing and ripe for the picking then I shall be spending less. Swings & roundabouts ;)

Approx £85 pw for me, OH, daughter and dog.

I eat toms on the vine too. A bit expensive but at least they actually taste of tomatoes and are soooo deep red and minty tasting! Just like the ones in Spain.
