Shin splints..

I jumped back on the exercise bandwagon today, and did day 1 week 1 of the C25K programme and day 1 level 1 of Jillian Michael's 30 day shred. Feel proud I achieved both and a lot better in myself after a good workout, but think I may have shin splints..

I have pretty weak legs anyway, with weak knee joints and ankles so take daily vitamins and supplements. But now I have a sharp pain in my left shin, to the inside of my leg, when I walk it's a sharp shooting pain and if I push on it with my fingers it's very painful.

Is this shin splints? Any advice on how to stop or ease the pain?

- start weight 12.4 - goal weight 10.0
 
When I had shin splits, it hurt to press on my shins!! I didn't have the sharp shooting pain though! Ice your shins!! It helps :) ope you recover quickly!!xx
