Should I be sad?

Hi everyone, Just got back from my second weigh in 4lbs off. I think I should be happy with that but i'm not. I lost 11lbs on my first weigh in, my daughter who is doing it with me says 15 lbs in 2 weeks is fab. Is that about the norm? or am I being to optimistic?

That's bloody brilliant!! What other diet would you lose 15lb in 2 weeks on? You have done fantastic, big pat on the back to you.

Over a stone in 2 weeks, i`d be jumping up and down, the average is a stone a month.
Don`t forget that you usually lose more on the first week of most diets.

WELL DONE !!!!
Also try not to compare your losses to everyone elses, I used to but we all lose differently.

Be Happy - if you aren't happy with that kind of loss then I would say you are never going to be happy! Celebrate - have a glass of water (sparkling of course!)

Hi Carol,

Don't know if you remember but we both started last week and last week I lost 10lbs and have just weighed in and have lost another 3lb which I was initially disappoined with, but when I look at the bigger picture of 13lbs in two weeks its fab really, so I reckon we should be proud of ourselves, well done to you!!:eek::eek::eek:

Should you be sad? NO WAY? I wish I could lose a stone in 2 weeks, lady! You should be happy, stay positive and stay on track to that NEW YOU bursting to get out!

(I sound like a bad Oprah show....:eek:)

You have to remember that your first weeks loss includes the depletion of your glycogen stores, which is why we have such a large first week weight loss.

A loss of 4lb's is a fantastic amount to lose in one week - and that is a true loss of fat, not something you can really say about your first weeks loss. Look at it this way, 3 months (13 weeks) at 4lb's a week is 52lb's - nearly 4 stone! So by the start of the summer, if you continue with these sorts of losses you will be nearly at goal.

How fab does that sound:D

I would say it's better than normal. Don't forget the amount you weigh reflects how much you weigh too - if you are heavier you will lose more.

Hey Cilla.. well I think that's a fab loss.. it's my weigh in tomorrow and I hope I do as well!! .. maybe we can match each other pound for pound every week!!

Def def def not sad - over 1 stone in a fortnight brillo.... Better than me hun, I think that's something to be proud of. Give yourself a huge pat on the back - just think you've done the hardest part, the first 2 weeks, next time you check you'll have been doing this a month!
