    Hi,

I just remembered the day I am due to be weighed (which is Monday)I will actually be in hospital with my daughter, she has a little belly button hernia, we are getting sorted.

Should I get weighed on Saturday as the pharmacy doesn't open on Sunday, or the Wednesday, when I get back from the Hospital etc.

I know I have lost weight and I think the boost of know I lost will help me through the hospital etc ?

Let me know what you think

Hmm, two days early or two days late?!! Decissions decissions.... I dont know! Maybe sat, so the week after you'll have a bigger loss to look forward to! If you do it on Wednesday and its a big loss, you may be more disapointed when you get weighed a week later and its less!

my daughter has one and they told me it can go by the time she is 5 (shes 4) but i spoke to a consultant and he said if you can put your little finger in the hernia then it most likley won't go on it's own. but unless it is causing pain or discomfort it was better to wait for op to make sure it won't go.

Hi Sorry I haven't got back to you sooner. Katie is 4 this year and yes you can put your finger into her belly button, hence it has to be done. She was due to have it done last year, but ended up in hospital with susupected meningitis, thankfully it was only a really REALLY bad viral infection, so I said we would wait.

But they basically said it is more or less like cosmetic surgery, they are going to open her belly button, but a stitch in it and close it back up, and that it is a day surgery, so she should be out later in the day, but I will be with her all day Tuesday, so won't be leaving the house for any weigh in.

I decided to go with Wednesday and I will explain why. Reverse Pscychology. If I get weighed on Wednesday I HAVE to be good up until then, if I don't I then think, ah well, I have a few more day days get sorted, so I will let you know how I get on.

Tracy, your daughter will be fine. It is so hard on the parents, and I warned my husband if I cry, he is to be nice to me and give me a hug, and if he says anything negative like 'don't be stupid it's only a little operation' I have promised him I will kill him stone dead. :)

But wish me luck for both events.

    Lapsed

    Hi,

I lapsed, I'm an emotional eater and gave it and had dinner. The most fantastic beef dinner with roasted Veg and pototoes. I made it myself, I have no excuse and enjoyed every single divine morsel. Will I be going to hell ?:break_diet:

On the good side - my daughter came out of the operation with no complications. I bawled  and my husband had to go in with her, but she is fine. She had internal stitches which will disolve and after 5 days we are to take her bandages off and give her a bath and her steri strips should come away too.

I am getting weighed tonight, so I will let you all know how I got on.

    Rgds
