Should I start slim aand save

I know all the users will say yes - and I do want too
I am due to have a knee replacement op in 7 weeks and would love to lose and few pound beforehand (the more the better)
but what are the recommendations prior to surgery - some plans advise not to use around the surgery time
if I do start now when can I restart after surgery

I know this will all be in the booklet but I need to know before I spend the money
