Sick of losing only 1lb a week!

Looking at your stats I would say that 1 lb loss a week is REALLY good...! When you only have a little to lose the losses do tend to slow down...stick at it...you'll get there :)

It sounds bette saying it like that :) but its just making me feel like giving up! It doesn't feel worth it to only lose 1lb!!! :(

I was shocked to notice how much weight one of our cleaners in work had lost and then I realised that while I was on plan off plan all the time, she kept on working at it.

You'll be amazed at what it adds up to xxx

"Only 1lb"...I wouldn't feel like that as its better than a pound on. You wouldn't say "I only gained a pound tonight" if you had put on so don't feel like that when you lose it
I lost half a pound today and was over the moon as It's takin me ages to see scales move.

I seriously would be really happy at losing a pound a week. ive just started back after a 6 month break having gained over a stone but previous to this i attended slimming world for about 18 moths. Some weeks id loose up to 2lb but looking back at my old book about 70% of the time i lost 1/2 a pound every week. When it came to image therapy the consultant would say that ' mooandmae has lost the usual'. It all adds up i lost nearly 4 and a half stone i those 18 months.

your bmi is already at the very low end of healthy so you will not lose more than 1lb per week unless you starve yourself, and i dont mean to be harsh but many people with 5 stone to lose would still appreciate 1lb per week loss so im sorry but i personally find it hard to feel sorry for you.

I really want more than 1lb off a week :( I'm really trying! Anyone got any tips or advice for me to help?

At 5ft 6 and 9 stone I would be concerned if you were losing more then 1lb a week. You're already towards the lower end of a healthy weight.

PS Your "Goal BMI" of 18.1 is classed as Underweight.

I am going to be blunt, I apologise if you take it the wrong way but...YOU ARE 9 STONE. Losing a 1lb a week is amazing because you are so close to target as it is. You feel bad losing a 1lb a week. Try being like me. My average is barely over 0.5lb my weight loss is so unpredictable, i can lose a 1lb or I can gain 1.5lb for no reason. If you can't accept losing a pound then I will willingly take it, if I knew I was going to lose a 1lb a week I would be ecstatic. After 18 weeks, I'm still 4 and half pound of my stone award...and you're down about LOSING a 1lb. *all that said in the nicest possible way*

^ This is what you call "only 1lb" of fat. That's what you're complaining about losing each week. I'm astonished.

I must agree with ermintrude, I know we all decide ourselves our goal weight and how we feel, but your stats seem to suggest that yr bmi now is just within the normal band. On tv this am a doctor was telling a girl that at a bmi of 17 would be classed as anorexic and she would be admitted to hospital. I know you dont want to go that low, but it would be easy to fall into this catagory if you went much lower.:grouphugg:

At 5 ft 6 inches, your lowest acceptable weight at SW is 8 stone 12. This is set to keep you safe and within the lowest cut off points of a healthy weight range.

You should be maintaining, not losing. If you go to group then you shouldn't be allowed to set your target this low.

I can't see how the pda can allow such a target weight - unless the OP's height hasn't been set in the pda.....

Unless she doesn't go to group.

Like most of the other posters say on your stats that's great loss! When I get to target around your weight mine will slow down too ... If you were a lot larger fair enough! Just give it time... Slow is the best way... More chance of it staying off to x

Agreed - in which case I think the OP needs to know her target is incredibly low and probably not a healthy weight to aim for.

Sick of losing a pound a week? There's a raft of people who'd be down right grateful for that!
